WHY IS HE STILL STARTING? JARVIS JONES AND HIM NEED TO GO

 

Have we even seen Boykin yet??!!

 

Get this guy out of the game already! Between his undisciplined play to his piss poor tackling, he is a one man wrecking crew.

 

Maybe lake still doesn't want to make a knee jerk reaction?

 

I wouldn't just jerk his knee, I'd jerk his butt and the rest of him out of the game!

 

Blake was horrid today.. .AGAIN! He can't cover and fer sure cant tackle. It looks like he is blocking when he tackles. Its utterly ridiculous.

 

I didn't see Boykin do anything different than Blake did today.

 

Well he didn't get torched for a 66 yd td

 

Yeah, but he sure isn't as good as his Legend on the internet.

 

I concur, but for me atleast he's a different option. Get tired of the definition of insanity with some personnel.

 

I said in the gameday thread - he got burned by Green for sure, but the TD was on the Safety for messing up the tackle.

Blake has done well against Green in past games. Not such a good show today. I genuinely don't know if Boykin would have done better on Green.

 

Agree nothing wrong with trying something different. But this guy was labeled by many as the best corner on the team after only playing a handful of snaps over the first 11 games of the season.

True... But Blake has been consistently stinking up the joint for a while now. Early in the season he was making some flash plays, but he's turned into a pile of junk progressively this season

 

I wonder if its physical, mental or a bit of both. He certainly doesn't seem to be rebounding from poor performances.

 

Yes he's not looking all that good, I'd imagine some of his tackling issues have to do with his broken hand. The coaches shouldn't have a guy out there that can't tackle though. Says alot about the guys behind Blake on the depth chart that they can't beat out a one armed Blake.

True, he hasn't done jack in all honesty be it from the coaches keeping him out or him just not being good enough to warrant the snaps etc... Who knows.

I think this is a case of either way, you got to see what you got in a guy because the whole world has written off Blake as a piece of garbage. I'd go as far as saying that he's reaching internet legendary status for his dismal play.

Ah yes, I remember reading that now you mention it - had a suspicion he had an injury, but had forgotten that.

 

Did you see how Blake tried to Tackle him on that catch???

 

Blake may be playing like garbage, but I think some people need to come to terms with the fact that he may still be the best option on the roster right now.

 

His tackling issues are similar with many of our guys as well as a league wide epidemic. These dudes simply try to crash the party. The wrapping up aspect is lost on them. He was doing that before the hand ordeal.

 

That's the part that sucks ultimately hahaha

 

He did a better job in tackling Mitchell, tbh.

It was a poor effort, no doubt, but with a good tackle, the safety stops that being a TD.
