Yeah, that isn't completely stupid at all. Ben should be fined, too. He really hurt Indy's feelings lighting them up like that.

Well tell that wimpus Dilectus to stay home, If he is afraid of our really mean Kicker.
Reminds me of when I had my Company training at Little Creek VA. A sailor said a Marine beat him up. They made us line the Company up over my objections. (CO Overruled me) This sailor is about 7 feet tall. Stopped in front of a Marine who was barely 5 Feet tall, maybe weighed 100 Pounds, just made height and weight restrictions to join. Said that's him. I hollered THAT 5 FOOT GUY WHIPPED YOUR ASS. It was a cue for my Company to howl with Laughter. NIS took the sailor away and they were laughing too. Last I heard of it

You really have to wonder. Why no fine for the guy that gave Ben a concussion?

I guess the hit is still considered legal. Even though it was a clear helmet to helmet.

The rules on fines are so convoluted, the system lends itself to these kind of inconsistencies.

I'd be genuinely interested what the stats are on whether these fines actually reduce misconduct on the field. Sure, we've seen less elaborate celebrations for TDs, but it seems like guys are still getting concussed/injured on bad tackles.

Lol - he's certainly channeling the dispenser rage, though.

They keep expanding the definition of a face mask to where now it includes the entire helmet, and yet a defender can grab a players hair from the backside and pull him down in the purest sense of a horse collar, and that is legal, these rules are becoming so vaguely enforced in interpretation you have to hold your breathe on every play to see if your good to go, and even then your not sure because late flags are becoming the norm...

Haven't read the exact rule, but I don't see a facemask penalty there, nor a horse collar.... what is the technical rule if you tackle using the back part of the helmet??? Excessive cuddling?

that was a good aggressive tackle. not something you ever see from a kicker. i'm sure that's a fine they will gladly pay every time

Just a matter of time before they change all unis to have no touch/tackle zones displayed in red (backed up with electronic sensors that triggers alarms throughout the stadium) and OK touch/tackle zones displayed in green that triggers an applause sign. The zones will vary based on the player's position, age, health and parents party affiliation.

The Steelers may fine him because he's a KICKER MAKING A TACKLE!
