Tomlin's gut tells him to be aggressive or conservative at the wrong time

Jacoby Jones is on the field

Heath retires

our opponents have a tight end and know how to use him

Brown flips into the endzone and tears his ACL

Ben throws a bomb into triple coverage

DWill rushes less than 15 times

Blake is on the field

3rd and 2 is a 50 yard bomb

somehow opponent's receivers get behind our soft 10 yard cushion

the D causes a fumble, and they celebrate and fail to fall on the ball

Tomlin needs to manage the clock with 2:30 left

Landry Jones is on our field goal unit

Vick is seen warming up

the refs review a play that determines the outcome of our game

Every game I live in fear that I'm going to lose my mind, my wife, my family, my hair, my freedom and not necessarily in that order!

 

Probably "lose my TV" should be on this list also. Can't tell you how many times I just want to kick a hole in it during a Tomlin coached debacle.

 

Every time the opposing QB drops back to pass

When the Steelers are "on the clock"

When they throw the quick bubble screen and I see the LB jump the lane

When Ben neglects to dump it off to the wide open RB in the flat

If we make the playoffs and have to play the Patriots...

 

I live in my fears that any team that has more than 3rd and 8 against our defense is going to convert. It's automatic!

 

But but but, MT says we don't live in our fears!

I fear that more teams are going to wise up and send 3 TE's against us every play and put 70 on the board each game.

 

.....we will drop 8 into coverage.....when the opposing team needs 10 yards to kick a winning field goal.....

.....or run a toss-sweep on 3rd and 2 needing 5 yards to kick a winning field goal....

 

Ah, but we the fans are fearful every game.

 

that we will wear the bumble bee outfits again next year

that the team throws more interceptions than touchdowns every game here out

that the front 7 can't get any pressure on the QB, always just a tick late

that the safeties never play deep enough, Tebow touchdown happens again and again

that missed tackles make poor RBs look like HOFers

that any play near the sideline will not have two feet in bounds and the rules regarding a catch will always be interpreted against what really happens

that following an questionable play, the offense will not be able to snap the ball quickly

that Tomlin will not be able to challenge a play buy just saying so, he will have to throw the flag

that we will burn our timeouts, knowing a close finish is coming up

 

that the O will score and the D will immediately give up a quick counter-score on the next drive.

that Shazier will get injured again.

that the D will get a big play only to get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

that Real Steel will submit a post.

 

I'm starting to live in my fears every Sunday when Tomlins morning alarm goes off. I keep hoping that he will screw up that clock management but he seems to save that problem during game time.

 

Mike Tomlin will not have his team prepared.

Mike Tomlin will mismanage the clock. time outs, situational football

Mike Tomlin will stay with the same players and not give other players a shot.

Mike Tomlin will lose us two games per year with his incompetence.

Mike Tomlin has the Rooney's hoodwinked.

I fear we will draft 3 more OLB'S and no DB'S....I fear the Team thinks Jones can be a future starting QB ....I fear Pouncey will come back and play 2 or 3 games and out for the season again....I have a lot more , but this is making me more afraid as a type...

 

I fear that Jacoby Jones will revert back to his rat turd roots and sabotage our game against them on his way out the door where he is clearly already headed. I'm not sure I've ever seen a athlete fall off the way that he has. If I wasn't crying I'd be laughing at the way he runs I can't figure out whether he's on ice skates or his feet have been amputated....bizarre

 

... We will get a big lead, and then get lazy.

... We will find something that works, and then get cute, and try to do something else, to catch the other team "off guard".

... We will have success, and then commit a stupid penalty, to wipe it out.

... We will give the other team time to win the game at the end of the game.

... We will get in the red zone, and settle for a fieldgoal...


... We will stop blitzing, when it`s been working all game!

... We get yet ANOTHER key injury!!!

... We think our secondary can cover anyone...

... We make no changes to fix "obvious" problems, that we "own"

 

It's almost like I don't want a sack on 2nd down, because I'd rather they try and run it on 3rd and short than throw it on 3rd and long.

 

Third and long and our defense is in the field.

 

Oh....and that when we're kicking off, we don't see a member of the special teams until the opponent has crossed the 25....and when we're receiving a punt, here comes the 2-handed shove in the back right in front of the official....

In honesty, though, special teams has committed fewer penalties of late, I think.....or maybe they're just buried behind a litany of other concerns....

 

One better... that we'll get in the red zone, and instead of settling for a FG, MT takes POINTS OFF THE DANG board and tries something cute that fails...

 

WE'LL LOSE!

No, just trying to contribute in the spirit of the thread...

Unfortunately, the fact is, I have just lowered my expectations...

I no longer expect us to kick every teams` ass, that we play...

Maybe I`ve finally let reality crash thru my Black n Gold Shades..

Don`t really like it, but it saves me a lot of unwarranted frustration!
