Any fans of the TV series? Didn't think they could keep a series (mini) going as a followup to the bizarre yet sensational movie but looks like they have. You have to laugh as these tough mobsters from dairy farm country converse with all their "you betchas" and "yahs" vs the normal New York or Chicago accents from other mobster movies and shows. Billie Bob was great last season and Martin Freeman I believe, out-Jerry Lundergarded even William Macy. Quirky and slowly developing with a lonely wintry backdrop - delightful.

I am a REALLY big Fargo fan because I love the Coens. This year is really awesome too. On par with last year for sure.

MAN what an episode tonight! Carl is REALLLLLLLLY funny!!! I was cracking up when he put that bench in front of the door that said "push" on it and I was wondering if they would point out that it was a joke and then Lou walks back in while he was sitting there. LOL! It's funny that Peggy was the one that spilled the beans too. Also another great Coens throwback with Man of Constant Sorrow. Just a great episode all the way around.

Yes - another good episode - my favorite line was when all the Kansas City thugs were lined up outside the sheriff's station with rifles pointed and the sheriff goes back inside without incident - and then they cut to another scene and when they returned to the outside - all the thugs were getting restless with their rifles still pointed and one of them can be overheard saying "Do you think they remember we're still out here?"

Question - when Peggy was being hunted in the basement and then you hear noises and that one thug moaning and they show him laying out cold on the floor with a porcelain sink laying next to him - do you think Peggy pushed it off a shelf on him or was it self-inflicted by him being clumsy? Either case was hilarious and you just knew she'd get Dodd Gerhardt with his tazer rod after he set it down and pulled out his gun.

I like the idea of them using a matriarch (Jean Smart) heading up the Minn/ND mob - she's really plays a good toughie. Would have loved seeing her slap around Michael Corleone (Pacino) in the later Godfather movies. Somebody needed to. LOL

Yeah I think Peggy pushed the sink off on his head. I've got a feeling that the old man is gonna wind up speaking before it's all said and done. That just seems like something they would do. The last two episodes have scored perfect 10's on IGN. As far as the old Michael Corleone I just try to forget that he ever existed because Part 3 is such an atrocity. Especially considering the greatness of the first 2.

I think the old man will do more than talk - I think he'll blow away the last of the KC thugs saving his wife (he sure looks a lot like Wade Gustafson from the Fargo movie - doncha think?) While "Godfather I" was great all around, my favorite part of the series and role was De Niro playing young Vitto. I think they should have expanded that role and used it in Part III. Also would have liked Sonny hanging around longer - I liked Caan's role in Part I.

Yeah the first two are just awesome. My favorite is PROBABLY part 1 just because the cast is just so phenomenal and Sonny is my favorite as well. I've read the book too and it does have more about Sonny in there. This season of Fargo has a lot of western tendencies to it as well as mobster tendencies. IGN actually seems to just flat out consider it a western. It does have one of those "this town aint big enough for the two of us" feels. I really won't be surprised too if Dodd gets killed by either his daughter or his brother. I wish it would have a little more about Molly in it but we know how she turns out anyway.

You can say that again. Peggy is turning out to be badder than all the thugs. Funny thing is I knew friends who did the Lifespring and EST seminars in the 70's and Peggy has their strange ethereal behavior down pat. Hilarious. Can't believe the "Indian" shot Dodd straight away like that. These writers are having too much fun.

It was hilarious that Hanzee shot those dudes in the knee after the bartender mentioned Wounded Knee to him. Also I loved the reference to the Fargo film when he was talking about "going crazy down by that lake". Me and my buddies used to say that constantly with that accent because it just sounded so funny. I think that Hanzee was maybe gonna "exile" himself like Simone talked about when she was begging to have her head shaved and sent away in shame. Hanzee knew that killing Dodd was gonna be the end for him. I had wondered about that LifeSpring stuff. I figured it was some kind of cult like thing from that period.

Yeah I was going to mention the part about going crazy down by the lake - memorable scene from the movie. And then there's always - "Oh Margie - I'm so lonely" (Mike Yamaguchi)
