I can honestly say I wouldn't want him to act that way. I've felt he's pretty subdued from time to time but I'm honestly glad he doesn't throw hissy fits. I'm trying to think of the maddest I've ever seen him on the sidelines.

LOL!!! I remember he slammed one when we beat them in the AFC Championship a few years ago too.

Me either. I can't stand seeing grown men throwing tantrums on the sideline. Have some composure.

This is really angry for Mike Tomlin.

Yeah that's about as harsh as he gets. I was thinking there was a time that he actually pointed his finger at somebody.

Well, all I know is that rex's defense has Brady confused and being picked up off the turf after every play...lol
Wow, the pats just got cheated out of a big play...maybe a TD
Yes yes yes...finally a taste of their own medicine

True, but look at his WR's, they're not going to go deep. Look what he did with Moss, he went deep a lot and it worked a lot. Brady takes what the D gives him and what his WR's are successful at.

They said that McCoy's knee was on the hand of the defender. I don't know how they saw that in real time. I'd say they got more robbed by that weird whistle a little earlier.

Yeah they have a system to try and neutralize a pass rush. It generally works but tonight they are getting incredible pressure. I feel like our plan against them a few years ago was as close to a blueprint as you can lay to beating them. Jam the crap out out of their wideouts and play physical. If you give Brady time you are gonna lose and probably get flat out embarrassed.

Keep in mind Dante Culpepper was a Pro Bowl QB with Moss at WR. Also, even with Moss he still used the short game with Welker, even Moss was used in the slot a fair amount.

Look - I respect Brady for what he does, great pre-snap and he is a very precise thrower putting the ball where it needs to be and hitting his receivers in stride which is a big reason those receivers get YAC, but the guy is not a good downfield thrower, not the sort of guy who is going to throw the ball 20 yards on a rope.

Very few guys have an arm like that though really. Rodgers is probably the best downfield thrower in the game. He makes it look totally effortless.

Ahhh there's the token Brady snot rocket shot for the game. LOL! It seems like they always manage to show him doing that in every Pats game.

How do you really feel about Rex? At least he's never punched his offensive coordinator!

No I meant the pass to Amendola as well. I was just late to the game. That likely goes for a TD.

Right - but I guess when I think of all time great QBs, best of all time, I think of a guy who can make all the throws...at least in some capacity. Montana didn't have a gun for an arm, but he was mobile enough to be able to create great throws on the run. I know people say I am crazy, but my thought is that if defenses could play the way they played in the 70's and 80's where you could touch the receiver some, be more physical with the receivers and QB that Brady would have had a harder time being successful because in the end his bread and butter is the short passing game.

To some extent this is what the NFL has become, what I am amazed about is why more teams (including the Steelers) don't do more to emulate how well the Patriots run it.

Yeah I've always wondered why more teams don't try and run their system as well. Honestly I think we come pretty close with the quick passing schemes we employ under Haley. We definitely take more shots than them but we also get the ball out super quick under Haley. Probably comparable to the Pats honestly. It would probably take PFF to verify that though.

But one thing I still don't think that Ben does well is hitting his receivers in stride...and I mean putting the ball right where the receiver makes very little adjustment. That is something that Brady and Rodgers do very well.

See that is where I scratch my head about coaching. The point is to get a 1st down there...just sneak it or do a quick pop to your up back. Why do a stretch play when you need 6 inches?

They also have really good route runners though and AB is really our best guy in that department. Mostly his throws to Martavis are just throwing them as far as he can and hoping he can get under them. I'd say he hits AB in stride the best.

Well it's better than BA ball where that play would be a 60 yard bomb. LOL!
