We went 8-8 in back to back seasons 2012 and 2013, before we made it 11-5 last year so we arent that far removed from 8-8 seasons, what we as fans learned is we dont like it, and in 2012 their record in their first 8 games was 5-3, and in their second 8 they were 3-5, then in 2013 they lost their first four games in a row and went 2-6 in their first 8 games, then they turned it around in their second 8 games with a 6-2 second half record, so what I make out of this is this team is unpredictable and very in conistant in what motivates them to win....

they have been getting their picks back. Davis made some crazy trades to get that qb they had...forgot his name but he's trying to be a tight end now. they gave up stuff like the Skins did for RG3

if my memory is correct it's been our D that's lost to the Raiders. I was at the last game in Oakland and that was a high scoring game blown by our D. I believe the one before that our D blew too...I remember one of our D backs had an easy - hit him in the numbers - pick and he dropped it. would have sealed the game. instead Oakland continued the drive and won.

Joe Burnett, I think it was? That whole 2009 draft was a bust for the Steelers.

The Raiders have the 31st ranked pass defense, although Woodson has been good with 5 ints.

Eifert with 3 TD's tonight. I was beating the drum for him. Would have had Heaths heir apparent in place.

I know everyone says if we get to Carr that is our best bet. Have any of you watched the Raider's highlights this year? Carr gets that ball out of there fast. He is really hard to get to for sacks from what I have seen so far. I hope we can fluster him but I don't think that we are going to sack him very much. I think Ben and the boys are going to need to get their head out and score some freaking points to win this game. We might have the whole West Coast team playing the early game after coming East but the Raiders have beat us before in that scenario even when they were not very good. I remember Gradkowski shooting us down in that one game where they had no business winning. Ben, show us what a top 5 QB looks like this weekend, PLEASE.

Yeah he gets the ball off quick, and their oline being ranked 3rd in the league in pass blocking helps too:

    Oline rankings:
    Raiders (5th)
    Pass blocking rank: 3rd

    Run blocking rank: 15th

    Penalties rank: 28th

Stud: Second-year guard Gabe Jackson (89.1) has stepped up his game in a big way this year.

Dud: Right guard J’Marcus Webb (39.6) has had a rough time of things at right guard.

Summary: This line sums up the Raiders’ transformation under Reggie McKenzie. Good drafting and shrewd free agent pickups have given this offense the platform to succeed.
