Bell is going to command Big Money and not sure after you suffer two major knee injuries twice in one year if He will be able recover and be the player He once was.

Did the vikings move on from adrian petersen because he blew his knee out, Bell stays here and his contract wont be anywhere close to breaking the bank, he's a young guy with a bright future here, his first knee injury was just a hyper extension with no major ligament damage, I dont know the extent of this injury but if it requires surgery he has plenty of time to be back for next season, were not going to release a player of his caliber just because he has a knee injury...

Nope but this message board will be moving on from you fairly quickly. We have let it be known you are available to trade before Tuesdays deadline but if there aren't any takers, well time to get on with your life's work. I suggest cable news possibly for Fox.

I have legit concerns on how Bell will be coming off two major knee injuries and The Steelers throwing a ton of money at him and your trying to have me banned from the board

You have a good point about being concerned. A lot of times guys don't come back as good a 2nd. time, however the RB position doesn't command huge dollars so the risk vs reward is in the Steelers favor. The guy I don't want back is AB . His mouth and his attitude and now his play show what he is really about .

Bell is a workaholic, he's young, and he's had ONE major knee injury, which was an MCL. Basedon what I've heard the ACL is fine. He's going to be fine

I don't think they are getting rid of him but it's a legitimate concern in my opinion

Throwing a ton of money at him and moving on from him are the only two options?

With the effort you put into it, no one could come close to trying as hard as you. ;+)

As long as it is the MCL and not ACL then he will be fine. Last year it was a hyperextension which can happen to anyone (happened to me tripping over a mole hole) and doesn't cause permanent damage just feels... Awkward for a couple weeks. The money situation is starting to get tight, but I'm sure Bell will be back for at least another 4-5 years. Also, without Ben, Bell was our most important offensive player. One could argue that with Ben, Bell is our most important player. Look back to last years playoff game and yesterday before Bell went out.

If they keep Pouncey around, they will keep Bell around.

Speaking of Pouncey, is it just me or do others besides myself feel very comfortable with Wallace at center? Would it be possible to move Pouncey and use his money (granted lots of it is guarenteed I would imagine) to get some real safeties and corners? If we could do that, of defense would be unstoppable.

I don't think the Steelers would do that of course, but I think it would be the smart play.

So, if he comes back for the 16 season and racks up 2,000 all purpose yards, you think they won't want to sign him?

Way to early to tell for sure, but at this point I see no reason why we would part ways with Bell after next season.

This sucks because it's a legitimate question. It's going to come down to how bad does he want to remain with the Steelers and work with them on the contract. He's definitely not going to get top dollar or what some other desperate organization might be willing to shell out.

I agree. It's way too early to start writing Bell off as being done with the Steelers.

I would be surprised if we let Bell go. Very surprised.

Most likely not, but you never know, everyone is different... some people fade fast after injuries and never return. I doubt that is the case here though.

I thought last years injury was pretty minor, but reports have said otherwise, not sure how much there was to that injury?

I'd say with what they have at RB behind him, they may just be looking for something this next draft. Possibly as early as 3rd round?

Right now it's looking like Henry, Drake or Elliott.

There are some running backs with big contracts and big cap hits playing this year, it will depend if Bell wants to test the market or not or if he declines our offer, he obviously would be on the top 5 running back list, might need to see him play another season to see if he is back at full speed or not, it might help if he would get his weight back to 225 and add some duribility, here is the running back salary list for 2015.....

    http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/cap-hit/running-back/

Le'Veon Bell signed a 4 year, $4,120,600 contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, including a $1,376,800 signing bonus, $2,276,800 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,030,150. In 2015, Bell will earn a base salary of $687,882. Bell has a cap hit of $1,032,082 while his dead money value is $688,400.

This is a legitimate question, and will depend on Bell
and if healthy what type of contract he would be willing to accept?
