that's because he was named after their coach sheesh dude don't you do any bio research on our players:smiley1:
I agree if Ben THE COACHES or THE DOCTORS give the go ahead they damn sure better be correct.
not like we haven't seen mistakes by all of them before a million times .
people act like if the doctor says he is good then Ben must play obviously malpractice is an urban legend
like you said as well if ben goes just to be a" HERO" then shame on him
don't bother about our coaches they have stupid faces and make stupid decisions ALL THE TIME

Agree with how the real doctor clears him to play then he should play. However I don't always believe them as we saw Ben after the ankle injury trying to play in San Fran. Everybody could see he was not ready to play yet he was cleared by the real doctor. Go figure, this is when I fault the coaching staff for putting him out ther, they should of seen that he was not ready.

Ben Roethlisberger out 4-6 weeks with MCL sprain

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisbergerwill miss time with a knee injury, but he won’t miss as much time as some in Pittsburgh feared.

Roethlisberger was diagnosed with an MCL sprain and bone bruise but no damage to his ACL, a league source tells PFT. Although it will probably be about a week before Roethlisberger has a target return date, he’s expected to miss about four to six weeks.

When Roethlisberger went down clutching his knee in St. Louis today and had to be carted to the locker room, many observers were fearing the worst. The way Roethlisberger’s leg bent, it looked like it could have been a season-ending injury.

Instead, it’s an injury that will cost him a month. Michael Vickwill start for the Steelers for four weeks, and then Roethlisberger will be ready to lead the team down the stretch.

I honestly do not believe these timelines for injuries, I don't think you can recover from an injury like he sustained in a month no matter what the doctors say. I think it will be at least 3 months or so for him to be back 100%. We may not see him really healthy for the remainder of the year.

Agree that he should not have played in that game.

I think some people are confusing being cleared to play by a doctor and not being limited or affected by the injury.

I believe the doctor will clear him the play if he feels like there isn't a risk of re-injury simply because of the original injury. If a 300 pound OL falls on him then he stands a chance to be injured regardless of the fact that he's recovering from an injury.
If anybody's looking for him to be close to 100% or not suffering from any lingering effects of the injury then we probably won't see him until at least after the bye if not later.

The coaching staff will have to make a decision on whether or not they feel he can be more effective than either Vick or Jones.

He could literally wait all year and his knee is going to swell after he plays.

After Ben practiced last week, he was in a lot of pain. This week, he's ok & don't have the pain. I'm sure he'll be sore but it's nothing he can't handle. He's a tough guy.
He said that his family is going with the "Frozen" theme for Halloween. (I really wanna see those pictures.) But if he can go trick or treating, he should be able to play! I know there's not much physical contact trick or treating- but it's a lot of walking.
We NEED him this game too. We have to beat these Bungals to stay in the division race. We also NEED to beat them because they're the Bungals.
