I know this probably isn't going to be a popular opinion here because most of you seem to like her, but I've been waiting for Carol to die for years now. I absolutely can't stand her.

    Die, Carol, die! :nomnom:

Carol's awesome. Not sure why you can't stand her. Harsh? sure. But no worse than Rick.

Comic book Carol is pretty much an entirely different character. Go figure. She dies in the comics very early (in the prison). Her daughter, Sophia, is STILL alive. :roflmao: (or was the last I looked)

But then, the show is an "alternate universe" from the comics anyway. some broad beats stay the same, if the details are a little different. And some plot points and/or deaths are very, VERY different. There's people still alive in the comics who died early on the show, and vice versa. Some of the deaths stayed the same, but they changed the character. (Bob's whole "tainted meat" ordeal and death was Dale's in the comics, for example. Hershel's death on the show was Tyrese's in the comics.) And Daryl Dixon doesn't even exist in the comics... at least not yet. (Robert Kirkman has suggested he wants to introduce Daryl - and maybe Merle - in the comics due to how well he played out on the show)

So while the comics can serve as a loose template for the show, as far as the show is concerned, they're not cannon. So if you hear about this person or that dying or how... take it with a grain of salt. Won't necessarily happen on the show, or could happen to a different character altogether...

Which makes me kind of dread the season finale this year. hehehe

I agree but something just don't add up why is his hand now a focus point? I mean they are really making Rick favor that hand and we all know he is one tough SOB. I guess we will have to wait and see how he gets out of this jam in the rv first......

Maybe to portray just how dangerous a situation he is in right now? Exhausted, injured hand, in a camper that wont start surrounded by Walkers

Oh man, that's harsh. I love Carol. She went from a timid little mouse to almost a female version of Rick. She's had to make some very tough choices, but we usually find out that they were the right choices. Like when she was exiled from the group for what happened at the prison, but later let back in.

Do you know where we are in relation to the comics? Meaning how far along in the comics is the current storyline? I never finished reading Volume 2 of the Compendium, and am curious if I'll catch up with this season in this one or Volume 3

I don't know titles and such, just plot lines.

But they're right at the whole Scavengers / herd story line. It seems like they're amping that up though. The Wolves are basically the Scavengers, but cranked to 11. Just like the Termites were the cannibals from the comics, but given a bigger sense of structure and planning. The Scavengers were only a mild distraction before the herd. If the Wolves are "mild," this herd is going to be FUBAR.

Or they go in a different direction entirely. ;)

I'm not familiar with the Compendum, but they're up there. They've jumped around a bit from what I can recall.

Maybe but right from when it happened he really started paying attention to it and it got worse as the show went on, oh well I guess we shall see soon enough.

It could be another tease/nod for those that have read (or know basic plotlines of) the comics.

Carol, turning into the "sweet little housewive", in Alexandria, until she shows her "dark side", has been one of the most awesome things in this show, IMHO!!!:thumbs up::clapping::cool:....

Don`t forget, they all would have been dead at a trough, if not for her!!!:rawk::thumbs_up:

But she says this current situation is just "terrifying"... "really, there`s no other way to put it"...

    LOL!!!!

    AWESOME!!

Don`t know how you can hate Carol... She wasn` even bitter about being kicked out of the group...

What did I read in a previous post? "look at the flowers"!!!!:thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up:

Nah, it serves its purpose either way: those that noticed him favoring the wound are going to wonder if it leads to something more serious. Then they layered the dead-camper-about-to-be-engulfed-by-drove-of-walkers angle on top of it. :zombie:

90 minutes of Drew Carey's cross-dressing brother kinda ruined this week's episode for me. I just couldn't get that out of my head.

Ha, same here! I kept half expecting zombie Mimi to jump out of the bushes.

Seriously though, an hour and a half for Morgan's re-origin story? I'll admit it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be when I saw the preview, but still...

I liked it. It was time to slow it down anyway for a breather, and we finally got to see how Morgan went from CooCoo to zen. I thought Twisty the clown was great in this episode.

    Nice AHS Freak Show reference.

But I'm not convinced Morgan is sane now. I think he wants to be. But it now appears like he's kind of white knuckling. His whole zen creed of all life is precious is his crutch to keep from going off the deep end. I don't know that he actually believes that.

I liked this episode a lot and as others stated, I needed the slower pace after last week :laughs:

Morgan is going to have to kill the wolf guy, hes evil just like the guy Eastman had to kill. I was also glad he starved the SOB, kudos to the writers for making you hate a character that much who never got a single second of air time.

Ricks at the gate, back to mayhem next week.

Anyone else feel bad for Tabitha? :(

    :lolol:

I liked the episode. I'm thinking along the same lines as Ray, that maybe Morgan is using the Aikido as a way to hold onto his sanity, and maybe that's why he's holding onto it so strongly in the midst of all of the chaos and attacks when it almost doesn't make sense.

I had forgotten all about John Carroll Lynch playing Twisty the Clown on AHS. I stopped watching that season about 1/3 of the way through as I just didn't like it. I heard this season of AHS is really somethin', though. Is it worth me catching up on?
