    nope not at all glenn. tyler murphy should have been being prepped as the 3rd qb when ben went down. just for this occasion.:cool:

    Not to rain on your told you so moment, Mac (hanging around me too much:lolol:) but he started prepping back when Grad went down, article I read said they switched him back to the signal callers room back then.

    I think at this point anyone who says "who cares about some 3rd string this" or "no point in talking about some UDFA that" should probably think twice before doing so.

    yea i knew that back then. he was going to both rooms for meetings. it was minimal until recently though of any type of reps. just seems like something a professional team would be better prepared for ahead of time. i'm not saying tons of reps but a few per week would have had him much more up to speed if needed. he was a college qb just last year so it's not that far fetched keeping it in house with him. that's what i was mostly getting at.:smiley1::cool:

    You do realize that under the current CBA, practice time and reps are really limited. Obviously he needed reps to be the #2 for the KC game, but had we taken reps away from Vick and/or Jones prior to Vick's injury it wouldn't have helped our chances. I think we've seen that, if anything, Vick and Jones needed even more reps than they got.

    he could have and did get reps running the scout team and so did jones when vick was starting. he could have gotten reps as the scout teams #2 at that time. any reps as a throwing qb would have helped.:cool:

    Nothing quite like complaining about something that didn't happen. It's the I'm going to ***** about the Steelers fo and coaches no matter what syndrome.
