I don't feel good about us beating the Bengals next week even if Ben plays

The only AFC team we managed to beat was the Chargers and they are an awful team right now.
This team has got a lot of work to do and it starts next Sunday.
Looks like Ben is probably going to be forced into action next Sunday and not going to be fully ready and a little rusty .Our defense is going to have a hard time covering Tyler Eifert so think the Steelers lose this game 45 to 26 to pretty much hurt our chances for a wild card with
A 1-4 record in the AFC.

Is this a thread or just the world's longest run-on sentence with a ton of grammatical errors? Either way, I don't care.

I actually do feel good about us against Cincy next week. I'm looking for AB to be rejuvenated having Ben back. This is the first time we see Ben (hopefully as healthy as he can be) playing with Bryant out there. I can really see us dropping Cincy for a L. I think our secondary needs to be healthy though.

I know you're kinda new around here so I feel I am doing you a service by telling you this. The guy that started this thread likes to be a troll and stir the pot. He really offers nothing but pessimism and that is his trademark. There are some serious questions regarding his Steeler fandom honestly. So whenever you see these asinine threads posted just know that you have to take them with an ENORMOUS grain of salt. I agree with what you said btw.

Actually, I bet AB was real glad to even have Landry today, he had something like 9 catches for 130 yards.

Yeah if you look at his stats with Vick vs Ben or Landry they are atrocious.

With only being capable of learning about 2 plays in 3 months, Im not surprised Vick had trouble getting Ab involved.

Even with Ben back it's going to be a tough game. This is a must win to me. Unfortunately they have a stout Defense. Our D has been playing with house money but yesterday the dam broke. I see a shoot out. Hopefully Tuitt is back and Gay's injury won't keep him out. No time for a rusty Ben...

Did you know? Historically, the Bengals aren't very good the week after a bye. Since 1990 (the year bye weeks were introduced to the NFL), they are 7-17-1 in the games that immediately followed an off week. Since Marvin Lewis has been their head coach, the Bengals are 4-7-1 following a bye. The lone tie came in 2008, when the Bengals and Eagles couldn't settle a game in overtime at Paul Brown Stadium. Yes, that's the game when former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb famously said, "I've never been a part of a tie. I never even knew that was in the rule book." Like all teams, the Bengals had two byes in 1993. They lost both of the games that immediately followed them. Cincinnati's only four wins under Lewis coming off a bye came in 2003 (his first season), 2009, 2011 and 2013, when they traveled to San Diego to kick off a five-week stretch in which they went 4-1 to earn the AFC North title. Last year, the Bengals came out of the bye with a Week 5 loss at New England on a Sunday night.

I think the only way we can win is to light up the scoreboard . I see no way we can stop the TE and Greene one of those guys is going to have a huge, huge, day . We will probably need at least 35 points to win this game

Their defense isnt ranked in the top ten, so a big dose of Bell AB and Bryant should keep us in the game, the defense has to take care of Dalton to give us a chance, and Dalton usually has bad games against us for some reason, maybe we're in his head.....

I foresee much disarray on the field for Sundays game. Ben and the receiving corps will be out of sync for atleast one game. The D the same learning how to execute and finish tackles (poor tackling have been on the horizon) The game on Heinz field will be ugly. Cincy coming in with much confidence being undefeated unlike the Steelers. Our next win will be Oakland and i say that quietly, the Raiders are improving and if they beat the Jets this week i may be eatin' crow on the Nov. 8th. Stay tuned! :)

Missing tackles is getting ridiculous. Willie Gay is hurt, do we see more Boykin? Probably not, going to sign another smurf instead lol. *shrugs shoulders*
Our run D needs to be a priority. People gashing the steelers for big runs is sickening, im used to the passing yards allowed.

Bengals put up 46? Ahahahah dude the Defense is not the Texans.

Grudge match. Dalton makes some costly mistakes and Steelers win. What is your record for W-L anyways? We all knew that the Steelers would lose to the Chiefs.

P.S. Will you guys seriously give up on Vick? Landry could have easily had 5 picks. Most passes that Brown caught were an absolute joke and a breakdown by the corner.

He scored 13 points (I'll give him 20). That my good friends does not win games in the NFL today.

All it did was make the game look better, but they still sucked in a different way. Even with 100+ by Bell.

All that matters is they are 2-2 and Ben is back.

    k

Agree, I will be upset if we don't hit the tight end on every pass play. Also Shazier is probably the only one that can cover him. 35 points is about right for us to win. Just hope Ben is not rusty as his usual past after missing four games.

For somebody that doesnt like Vick, you sure defend him to the 9th degree. And how come when Vick tossed 3 passes into the breadbasket of SD defenders you didnt want to acknowledge it but KC defenders couldnt come up with what would have been a very good catch on their part and you are all over it?

Landry played better than Vick did, it was as plain as day to see, just the fact that he had command of the playbook makes him a better choice. A left handed back up QB that cant go through his progressions and that doesnt fit the offense should have never been brought in here and that has nothing to do with his past. It was a terrible choice from a football stand point. Throw in his repulsive history, are you surprised.

People dont like Vick, you should get used to that.

The only people I still see ripping on him are 2 people lol.

I defend him to the point that Landry is not a better option then him.
Yes I saw the Chargers game, but he fought through adversity and won the game. The Arizona game was way more ugly.
I went to the KC game. The offense has been truly boring to watch the last few weeks.

There have been some very good drives though.

The only thing I admit and will admit is that it was way better executed and it should be with 3 years of learning under his belt, but the offense was still a dud without Big Ben!

It's okay because it's over now and both backups are 1-1. The steelers will win win win and the AFC is weak. Patriots here we come.

the good thing about ben coming back is the fact he has been throwing to his wr's for the last two weeks even if it was limited. he didn't have that luxury the years before when he was coming off of an injury. i think there is much less rust this time around.

as far as vick, it's not even close between he and jones. the offense still flows better with jones. many less sacks. downfield attacking. jones with a second week of reps would still be far and away better than vick was in week two. the vick experiment should be over. MT may see it different than the rest of the world.
