I don't think they are that good. don't get me wrong, they can probably beat anyone but they have to play very well to beat good teams. they should have lost 2 of them. they have had luck on their side. I honestly think with a healthy ben, we are best in the league. but I am a homer

The Bengals are legit. Hue has that offense humming along nicely, and Dalton is maturing. They are healthy and dangerous. But we are dangerous too. It should be a great game.

The Bengals are explosive on offense. If the Steelers don't figure out how to cover TE's better real soon then Tyler Eifert will eat us apart. They are already healthy and will be coming off of a bye week. This should be a great game and I hope that the Steelers don't find themselves in a trap game this week leading up to it.

I still think the Steelers will come out on top and even believe the Browns will beat the Bengals Thursday on a short week right after that game due to the pounding that the Black N Gold put on them. The Browns always play the Bengals hard.

We lost to Baltimore who is 1-5. Not sure what all of this tells us other than we are 4-2 and Cinci is 6-0. We are 2 games behind and we have the opportunity to fix that.

Records don't matter when teams face off vs one another. Every team in the league has the talent to compete in the NFL.

The Bengals offense and front 7 are stacked but the CB's can still be had by a good QB. I think a healthy Ben or Brady puts up over 300 yards on that D.

I've been telling people that are singing Dalton's praises that they've not played anybody.

Eifert is their biggest offensive threat I think too.

I'm kinda in the Same boat. Don't get me wrong, they obviously are pretty good... Going 6-0 in the NFL is no joke, but I just don't see them as a team that can go all the way. As it stands, they have home field (which is huge). But they still have to actually win a playoff game for me to start believing in them as contenders. Gonna have to beat a few really good teams (two or three of the pats, Broncos, steelers) in the AFC playoffs, then turn around and beat a team like the Packers in the super bowl. It's another one (maybe two) and done for cinci in my mind. Still lots of season left though

I agree, they haven't beat a winning record yet but they've won all of em.

We have a good shot against them no matter.

They have lots of talent, but so do we. All of
our players will have to bring their "A" game.

Yep. Wait till they get a look at Heyward and Tuitt. The rooster will be running for his life.

    Yep. They won't disappoint...

Hello all. Full Disclosure-Bengals fan. Not a troll but enjoy reading and sometimes talking with opposing fans. You guys have a great team and feel free to tell Ben to take a few more weeks and get rested 100% and come back in week 9:).
I wanted to give you Cincy's perspective about this post. You see. It has become a trend on opposing teams boards. If you went and checked the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Bills boards for threads just like this in the week before we played them , they are there. Yes, no one we have played currently has a winning record. The bills were 3-2 when we played them and now they aren't a winning team either. The fact is, The Raiders, Bills, Seahawks, and Chargers would all be .500 or better if they had beaten us. We are a big reason our opponents records suck. If Ben doesn't play this week and somehow KC beats you and then you lose to us you would be .500 at that point and then I can guarantee you that the next teams message boards would talk about how no one we played has a winning record. See how that works?

Anyway, Have a great week. I have every expectation that you beat KC, Ben or not. Without Jamall charles they have no chance.
    Peace!

I dont put any stock into that. Took a colossal effort by Vick, Scobee and the coaches to make us lose that game.

My biggest concern is Cincy going after Bens leg. I think if they can keep Ben standing, they should win that game.

The strength of schedule is based on teams last season win loss records, this season those teams are average with the exception of a couple of them, so the bengals and our own strength of schedule isnt as hard as it appeared in pre season, we are capable of winning a lot of games going forward due to the slide of these so called power houses becoming out houses.....

They can only play who is put in front of them. Also pretty sure they beat Seattle. Seattle perhaps isn't what they were, but they're still a very good team. Until proven otherwise, Cinci is the top team in the division. Hopefully we can take that label from them, but until we do...

I have. That defence is incredibly good. It's a team game, nothing wrong with winning thanks to the defence. Manning has also done just enough to win. A 6-0 team didn't get there because they're lucky. Cinci is a very good team this year. They have weapons they haven't had in a very long time. AJG is one of the best WR's in the game. Eifert is one of the best TE's. Hill and Gio are both very good and very different, which creates problems for the defence. We can beat them, but not if our coaches underestimate them like many fans are doing.

But can they beat the cardinals on the road??? The best they can hope for in beating us is a clean sweep, but history shows otherwise.......

No idea. That's my point. You are what your record says you are. You don't get to the playoffs because you feel you deserve it. You get there by winning games, regardless of who those wins come against. Right now they're tops in the division and they're playing very well. That might change once we play them, but as another poster already said, you can't judge them based on the records of teams they've played this year.

I agree about Cincinnati. They've found an extra gear, it seems, and at points when they would struggle in previous seasons, they've got the weapons to step it up. They're a better team than when we played them last year. As are we, of course.

My two main concerns are 1) who's covering Eifert (could do with Shazier back, or Cortez, and Cortez to be good Cortez and not last season's Cortez); and 2) who's covering AJ Green (I imagine Blake, in which case we need to be giving him help).
