Pats Vs Colts

I've got to watch a little of it. I've mostly just watched in agony as the Cubs break my heart again. There's a really good game going on TBS. It's called "Throw the ball in to the upper deck and I will still call it a strike as long as you play for the mets."

 

WTH was that play, talk abt a play that does not have a chance, that one did
not!!!!!!!

 

Is that the worst run play of all time? There was literally a 0% chance of that ever succeeding.

 

We'll probably work it in to our playbook. LOL!

 

I said that Brady would be the MVP when all that deflategate stuff started and I stand by it.

 

Reminded me of this one.

 

Danny Smith was the ST coach for that one. I hope he left that play in Washington!!! LOL!!!

 

The funny part of the whole thing is that even if they wanted to try to draw the Pats offside by lining up off the LOS, as soon as they snapped the ball there would have been a flag for illegal formation (which there was). So not only would it be impossible to throw or run for a first down, it was even impossible to try to catch the Pats jumping or catch them lining up offside, due to the illegal formation. There was a 0% chance of anything good happening for the Colts, literally 0%. Embarrassing.

The only thing you could do is get them to jump and touch someone, but like you said the formation was illegal anyway.....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the formation wasn't supposed to be illegal, but most of the guys were not up on the line and they didn't have an eligible receiver on the ends....

 

supposedly it was an attempt to catch them with 12 men on the field but Im not buying that in the least.

 

Whats the rule for a 10 second run off on a penalty? Shouldn't an offensive penalty result in a run off?

 

At the end of a half or a game yes.

 

So then once again the Pats got away with one arrrgh can I hope that a black hole opens and sucks that team down into a parallel universe.

 

You can hope it but you should know that I already have dibs on that fantasy occurring with the ravens. LOL.

 

But it wouldn't have worked because they were lined up illegally. As soon as they snapped the ball, there would have been a flag (and there was). So even if the Pats had 12 man on the field, it would have been off setting flags. There was literally no positive outcome to that play. It was literally impossible for anything good to come from it. That's why it's so stupid.

 

Supposedly the guy snapped it when he wasn't supposed to. Yeah. Right.

 

I buy it! Did you see the guy that got tackled after the play? He was literally saying the same thing. "Why did you snap it?" Snapper had the "I don't know why I just did that!" look on his face as well.

Also, he looked surprised to get the ball and almost mishandled it. Probably remembering what happened in Michigan the day before!

 

But if the line wasn't gonna get in the right formation they would have drawn a penalty anyway is what is so ridiculous. They did mention during the game that he looked mad that he snapped it. The point is that it wouldn't have mattered anyway but they are blaming it on that.

 

Oh I get it and I'm totally onboard with you there! It's just amazing what kind of stupid things people do at key moments, when they know it's the wrong thing to do!
