That's exactly what I was thinking in terms of how they calculate "pass plays" and "pass blocks" is because there are times where Ben keeps the play alive for so long that Heath just winds up open but the original intent was for him to block. So maybe they calculate them on like "original intent of the play" or something? He DEFINITELY has to pass block more than that. He probably run blocks more than anything though on average. Heck in that Cincy game last year him and DeCastro were basically a 2 man line for Le'Veon when he ran all over them that day. You remember what I'm talking about?

Heath's run blocking Monday night was excellent (as usual). He's really the most reliable run blocking TE in the league IMO. He's a good possession receiver when he's not the first or second focal point for the defense, and knows how to find the soft spot in zones. With respect to Gronk - I think he's a really solid run blocker. I'm not sure I've ever seen him pass protect. Having him pass protect would be a heck of a waste.

So, BFT, since I know you`re sort of a closet Pat`s fan, I have a question...

Do you believe Gronk would do as well with Vick(or anyone not named Brady), throwing him the ball?

    Serious question...

I am on record as saying Ben makes ALL of our recievers/tightends/runningbacks, better at catching the ball...

Do you think Gronk is a better reciever than Heath?(given equal opportunities, from the same QB)?

Would you rather have Gronk on our team?(Than Heath?)

Not being a smart ass, just curious...

My opinion is Heath is a better all around player, and can do more with less, than Gronk..
Gronk is A Damn good pass catcher, but so is Heath..

Havent followed Gronk enuff to know how he blocks, or what kinda "teammate" he is....

I know Heath has pushed cameramen away from his injured teammates in the endzone..

He hands the ball to the ref, after he scores...and runs back to the huddle...

Heath never looks for recognition or praise, he just does his job, and does it to the best of his ability...

Always praises his teammates, before himself...

I don`t know if Gronk is like that, or not...
I watch the Steelers, Not the Cheaters...

Would you rather have Gronkowski, than Miller?

... If so, why? Honest question.:herewego!:

The other day a guy asked me "Which Steeler I was" and I said "I would like to think I'm the most like Heath. He catches everything. He's a great team player. He has the same values in his personal life that I have in my personal life and he always shows up and does his job to the best of his ability". Heath is flat out one of my favorite players of all time. In any sport. I would take Heath. I personally think he's more well rounded than Gronk and I know for an absolute fact that he's more dependable. Gronk has had some injury problems and I don't think he's as smart as Heath is. Also I'm not a closet pats fan. I openly declare that I'm a Brady acolyte. LOL! As far as being an "athlete" I'd say Gronk is more "athletic" but as far as the TE position goes I think Heath is a more well rounded player than him. I know that probably 99.9% of people would disagree but that's my opinion. I love Heath.

Vick can't even seem to get the ball to AB let alone Heath. Can't wait till Ben is back so AB can start his streak again.

heath is just the most awesome player on the field and we couldn't replace what he does with 4 players so far. nix, willj., spaeth or james. we better be looking long and hard soon to hit his level of what he brings to the offense.

I always think of Heath as sort of our "best kept secret". He's never the guy fantasy fans will ever drool over and things like that but I bet if you asked actual opposing defenders which Steeler does their job on every play I'd say Heath's name would pop up real quick.
