I was a huge JJ fan as he was coming out of Georgia. While he wasn't an explosive athlete, he was a dominant collegiate player.

He has certainly underachieved especially when it comes to sacks. I think he is playing solid football this year. I can't recall a lot of glaring mistakes thus far but I would like to see him begin putting QBs on the grass.

Does anyone else notice that they put Harrison out there with Heyward, Tuitt, and Dupree while JJ gets cam thomas, one of the other 2, and Moats? I would like to see what he can do playing next to the starters. I really think his and Harrisons snaps should be reversed. Watching Harrison try and cover people is comical at best. Yeah he read that screen to perfection last night, but he looks old and slow out there to me.

No. While the OLB rotation has mainly been Moats/JJ, Dupree/JH throughout the games for the most part (except for last night where I saw JJ and Dupree on a couple plays) they get pretty much even reps with the starting line. Heyward and Tuitt play almost every snap of the game. Some random game caps-

Did you notice that when Harrison when in for the first time after The first series, their tackle got called for holding as it was a sure sack if he didn't hold....

They alternate series, and Tuitt/Heyward play most of every game.

I did notice only one time Tuitt and Heyward were out for one play. There may have been more but eye check says they played pretty much every snap. Sadly we have no depth. Hats off to those guys. They must have been so tired at the end of the game. Don't know how they do it. I would not have enough energy to lick my lips lol

Based on what I saw while watching the game last night, JJ had one of his best, if not his best game as a pro. The sack and the forced fumble were beautiful to behold. Help me out here All 22 guys, but it looked like he had a strong bull rush and decent inside move. Still struggles a little to get outside the tackle from what I saw. He was his normal solid self in run pursuit.

I hope that this is the game that we can look back on with JJ and say the switch finally flipped! If so, we may have the best LB corps in the league in a year or two.

I think it was on par with his NE game, he was pushing Solder around, its just harder to get to Brady.

    Quick hits

Safety Will Allen (ankle), linebacker Jarvis Jones (hip) and center Doug Legursky (back) did not practice. … In addition to Roethlisberger, cornerback Cortez Allen (knee) and linebacker Ryan Shazier (shoulder) were limited participants in practice. … Receiver Martavis Bryant, who missed the Chargers game with a knee injury, returned to practice. ... Former NFL linebacker Adrian Robinson, who played for the Steelers in 2012, had CTE at the time of his death this spring. Robinson committed suicide, and his brain was examined by researchers at Boston University.

Are you freaking kidding me??!!

He finally started looking like he belonged on the same field with the rest of the team on Monday night and now he's unable to practice because of a hip injury! Has anyone heard anything about how serious the hip injury is? Could this be a prolonged thing or just a precautionary measure by Tomlin?

Look at the last picture, why is JJ so frekin slow off the ball? Moats has him beat by 2 yards and the LT is off 3 yards by now. No way he can get quick pressure on the QB.
