Just wondering if anyone may have an update on him. I know by IR rules he can start practicing in week 6 but I haven't heard of how he's doing and I'm tired of seeing Wallace getting beat without even trying

I don't think you will see Pouncey in a game till we are chomping on turkey legs.

The Short term IR, you have to activate him after 8 weeks to active roster.
So that would mean that game against the Raiders and Browns he would have to be on the 53 man roster
Then he would get into the bye week.
I would bet the game against the Seahawks would be his possible return.

Cody is getting smoked . The whole line is trying to help him. Doug played better when he was here than Wallace is playing . Wallace is good in the run game , but horrible as a pass protector.

I dont think Munch would keep him at center if he wasnt grading out well, Legursky would be at center otherwise, I never thought Pouncey was any great shakes at center that people make him out to be, plus he is always on IR.....

His grades are crazy . He grades out very nice in the run game and at the bottom of the NFL in the pass game . My take is if we intend to be run oriented why not just leave him in there .

Before, I said we be munching on turkey legs when we see him, that may be pushed back to when we are opening Christmas presents.

At what point do we cut our losses and draft another center? I like Pouncey but how much are we paying him to miss mutiple seasons. Seriously what percentage of his time in the NFL has he been active?

What is wrong with you? Those of you calling out Pouncey for always being on IR. You all must have short term memory's or
you are trolls. He missed 2013 because of friendly fire...recall? He is missing this year because of getting hit from behind that would have
broken anybodies leg. Appreciate a solid player when you have one.

I don't understand all the hatred towards Pouncey. Outside of the history of injuries he is one if not the best center in the league. This line definitely misses him and the leadership and attitude he brings to each and every play.

I don't either, but there is definitely a group of people who (somehow) believe that he is overrated or average. This is of course absolutely delusional.

Idk if it's because they see him as injury prone, or if they don't like him as a person because of his friendship with (former teammate) Aaron Hernandez.... But there has to be a reason for these thoughts because when you watch him play, it's pretty clear that he is an absolute star at the position.

I think it`s more about bad luck than just being injury prone as far as Pouncy goes. The first season ending injury was one of our own lineman hitting his leg from behind. However, he could do better as far as situational awareness goes IMO such as keeping his feet moving and turning around more and not letting guys fall or roll into him.

    :sigh:

I feel for the guy, he just can't seem to stay healthy. We need him on the field. At least Dr. Wallace will have an entire season under his belt before the playoffs hit.

Looks like he's likely done for the season... Apparently he's going to see a specialist in North Carolina because of an infection in his ankle.

Ugh, this is really sad news. We probably won't get him back on the field until training camp now.

No I think you just IR him which will end his season. I'm not sure however if that re-opens the IR-designated to return spot or not, maybe you can only use that once?

No. The return designation carries a roster exemption.

Right. He either gets activated to the 53 man roster or goes to IR. You can only use that once per team per season.
