As was mentioned above, the 18 seconds really didn't have much of an impact move likely, because of where it was. The were going to take it up to the warning anyway, I think most people knew that.
As for the Miller play, they got pretty lucky that it was a penalty. I wonder, if they had to use their final time out there, would they have gone for the field goal, or still tried that running play.
And, speaking of that last play, I've always wondered why the officials don't call it a touchdown more often when the play is close. What if he did break the plane but they can't challenge it? Seems like the best thing to do is call it a scoring play so they can be sure he did or did not get in.

    true
was there enough to see if they had ruled him down to overturn it
I saw something about the play on sports science and all
but hey the way the refs are after the Steelers(just for you shaner)
I think we'd all be feeling a little sick if it was a loss.

"It probably wouldn't have made a difference" is speculative, in the same way that guessing that the Patriots would still win handily even if they weren't cheating an entire game. :icon mrgreen:

Unless it seems certain that it couldn't have altered the game, this is something worth complaining about so it gets dealt with for future games. It's not like it was a difficult judgment call; this is an easy fix.

Actually the chargers time keeper thought running time off the clock for our final drive was beneficial to them, but the refs didnt catch it so they are to blame as well, why didnt any of the steeler coachs notice it?????? So I blame them as well...............

Should the refs not have gone back and set the clock to 8 seconds though? It was blatant but those could have been crucial seconds.

I know the game last week vs the Ravens, the clock had gone under 2 minutes on the Ravens because of a potential fumble. When the refs ruled no fumble they also went back and set the clock to over 2 minutes. That was a huge decision and certainly aided the Ravens.

It amazes me that the refs, and the steelers didn't notice the time difference. The Chargers time keeper I can understand as they were winning at that time. The Steeler coaches should of been looking at this. Again great time management by the Steelers along with Tomlin thinking we had enough time to call a time out he Bell dosen't make it. We were lucky this time.:applaud:
