Stop with the short passing game, hes awful at it. He does however do better with intermediate/deep passes.

They actually need to dig up BA's play book. J/K but they do need to shape the offense around throwing the ball down the field.

Its their only hope. The defense has its biggest test since NE coming up, going to need more help from the offense then they got this game.

I agree that he does seem to do better the further he's throwing. But, that being said, it seems to me he doesn't have as long in the pocket as Ben does. Whether that's due to Ben's ability to avoid the rush, I don't know. But I do know that he's been taking some big hits when he does thrown the long ball.

Yeah, these short passing plays where the receiver has nowhere to go have been driving me nuts. I know he needs to get it out there quickly, but there have been so many wasted plays.....

I think you are right, I think if I see another one of those 7-10 yard out passes near the sideline I am going to have a heart attack. The secondary of AZ will be taking a couple of those to the house.

They should do a lot of play action with Vick and try 4-5 deep balls and try to hit a couple of seam routes with Miller, Brown, or Wheaton.f you can draw the safeties in with the play action it should leave one on one coverage a fair amount and it shouldn't be a difficult read...even for Vick.

Also more bootlegs - with an option to run. Cuts the field in half but also gives a simple read for Vick.

Vick can't come alive for one quarter vs Zona. They are shelling teams. Can't get into a shootout so it looks like the D who had a huge hand in the win will have to come to the party again. Zona will see that Vick can't do the short game and will try to take away his long game. Gotta keep riding Bell. Control the clock as they couldn't do against the UnChargers. Ben should hopefuly be back for the KC game.

Side note: That POS Rivers after the game said in his presser about next weeks game against Green Bay: We have a tougher challenge ahead. Hey Dumb Dumb, you just lost. Thank goodness he is NOT a Pittsburgh Steeler and Ben fell to us!

Ben gets away with short passes because of his accuracy, and he is a deep threat too. Ben is an any threat lol what am i talking about...

If they want to win with vick then let ben call the plays on the sideline, vick said in his interview that ben asked him if he was comfortable rolling out of the pocket and throwing deep to wheaton on a double move play, vick said yes: and vick said thats why Ben is great, ben has a better feel for the game with this offense than vick will ever have and could probably draw up a better game plan for vick than haley, ben noticed the coverage on wheaton and felt a double move play would work for a big chunk if vick could hit him in stride, kudos to ben, since he contributed to this win as a player coach....

Ben should have gotten the game ball. Also saw him talking to Bell prior to the last play about don't dance. Without him on the sidelines, I doubt we win this game.

If Ben was allowed to call the offense we would drop 40 a game. You ever notice when he takes control we can't be stopped?

    Don't worry... Ben's on it!

I have to say it was a pleasure seeing Ben being so involved in last night's game. He's definitely still earning his paycheck.

They should've let Vick throw it deep vs the Ravens also, they probably could've put the game away. Having Vick try to throw those sideline passes are wasted plays, the Steelers have the speed at WR throw deep more often.

I'm not sure if Vick has less time in the pocket than Ben, but he seems to drops back very differently - it's like he jogs back a lot further, then looks around for the pass. This could just be my perception, or the way particular plays are designed, but he seems to take longer to set his feet.

He was better at it this week than last week, so maybe it's a rust thing.

If your going to win with Mike Vick, let him run it.
and let the Steelers rb's run it.Occasional deep play action.
    Don't turn ball over.

To many Vick runs with hits, we will see Landry Jones sooner then later...

And let's not forget the horrible mechanics - he winds up soooo slow - and THAT is why he keeps taking big hits afterwards.

Well if your interested in what you saw the first 3 qtrs Monday night
than so be it. Let the free bird fly. I knew T Haley couldn't design
an offense for a player of Mike Vick's skill set. Use Mike Vick's assets
    to your advantage, his legs.
