I'll believe it when Dalton performs in the playoffs. Some players just wilt under the spotlight.

I was thinking at 2-2. It seemed a little early to use this. But it does seem like a funeral. Whereas if the O made a first down, ST made a kick, or the D made a stop we would be 3-1 and thinking about the Super Bowl.

I could never give up & say there's no chance. We just need to hope that the Bengals start losing & the Ravens, & Browns keep losing. (Tomlin & Scobie beat us in our last game.)

The Browns have the Ravens, Broncos, Rams, Cardinals, & the Bengals for their next 5 games. They SHOULD lose 4, if not all 5. They'd be 2-7. (Hopefully)

The Ravens have the Browns, 49ers, Cardinals, Chargers, & a Bye. Hoping they at least lose 2 out of the 4. So they'd be 3-5, hopefully 2-6 by Week 9.

The Bengals have Seahawks, Bills, a Bye, Steelers, & Browns. I'm hoping that Ben will be back, so I'll say that we beat them. So they may win 2 out of the 4.... They'd be 6-2.

If we could just win Monday night- and if the Steelers beat the Bengals, we'll be 4-5 going into Week 10 vs the Brownies.

I know I'm getting way ahead of myself here. It probably won't happen this way and I just hope whatever happens, it's in our favor.

I had to edit this & mention that I just realized that I said some form of the word "hope" 6 times in this post. Without Ben, hope is all we have. (That makes 8 total.)

If you wanna see something incredible of the Japanese getting bombed themselves check out Grave of the Fireflies. Just know that you will weep like a baby while watching it because it is maybe the saddest movie of all time.

Good. The bigger the expectations for the Bengals get, the more spectacularly they fail in the end. I would love to have our team get a wild card and then pummel the Bengals on their home field in the playoffs. I seem to remember that happening once upon a time. ...

Why are people focusing on the fact that Dalton sucks in the playoffs when the point is that if/when the bengals win the division, it means the steelers likely have zero home games in the playoffs if they even make it. It is a huge deal despite the fact that Heinz was so poorly designed that there is virtually no noise home field advantage.

Hopes of winning the division went out the window when Ben went down. Going to be wild card or bust for the Steelers.

Well, wild card teams do sometimes win the conference, and even the Super Bowl. It's not unprecedented. If we get healthy, we would be a very solid candidate with our high powered offense and a young defense that's improving. Yes, I'd rather win the division and get some home games. But all is not lost if we have to take the long road.
