I don't remember saying he ended up on his back. I just remember the little guy delivering a blow.

The guy that got hit will end up on his back. Meaning there was more force coming from one than the other.

Thanks for the attempted physics lesson, but I'm not saying Shazier didn't hit him. Is that the point your making? I only said I remember the little guy delivering a good lick to Shazier. It's obvious from the after effects of the collision, that Shazier got the worst of. I just watched it again and my memory of the play was spot on.

You obviously have never played the game. A stinger or a pinched nerve has nothing to do with getting the worst of it. It normally happens from an awkward hit and it normally happens to the person delivering the hit.

Is it just me, or is there a higher volume of 'you've never played' going on around here lately? :lolol:

I know I never played. It was bad enough I used to get my butt kicked in soccer in HS. I think I had a target on my back 'cause I was the shortest in the school till my senior year!!!!:lolol:

I'm hoping the Shazier thing about his shoulder back in a sling is a precautionary measure taken after practice to help aid recovery.

As for Mosley vs Shazier, I think the only reason we're still talking about that is because Shazier hasn't seen the field as much as Mosley. From a talent and game impact perspective, it's Shazier by a sizable margin. Yeah you want the guy that can stay on the field, but sometimes you just gotta pull the trigger on a superior talent.

Shaz keeps screwing with me. I had him sitting on the bench in my fantasy team and he racks up 15 tackles. Needing more room due to his injury, I let him go. Found out "he's made significant improvement" and I paid to get him on the roster again. Now this. He did this to me last year too. I'm starting to think there is a link and his injuries are my fault.

Side note, I thought MB was working out on his own during his suspension and now he's sore? Lots of red flags lately on this high potential young man.

A little strange, but since it's coming from the player, who knows what the specific reason is since they didn't have to submit an injury report yesterday. We'll get a better idea today.

I thought someone said he was NOT working out on his own? Just that he was doing counseling and all that? I share your concern though. Dude could be a beast if he'd get his head out of his butt.

Maybe MB developed some blisters on his feet or something. First time wearing his football shoes in a while.

So, Shazier is back today along with McCullers, Allen, Wheaton and Spaeth.

But Bryant apparently missed his second practice. Not sure what the deal is.

Would this board explode if C. Allen got a helmet Monday and Boykin didn't?

They're being pretty secretive and rightfully so. I forgot that he doesn't need to be on the injury report until he's actually on the active roster which likely won't be until Monday. Could very likely just be strategy.

That's what I'm hoping, but you would think, he needs to practice... Especially after missing 4 weeks.

    Fingers crossed.

I would like to see what Boykin can do with some extended play. He talked to the coaches about his playing time but didn't divulge anything for obvious reasons. If Boykin was deemed inactive, then WOW, something must be really going wrong for him in practice.

Roby is playing as a #3 CB. So, while he's playing solid ball, he's not facing any real pressure with Talib and Harris taking the opponents' top threats. Tough to project how he'd be here where he would be tasked with the top spot, and under a big microscope.

That said, I did have Roby ranked ahead of Shazier in that draft after adjusting for positional need (although my unadjusted score for Shazier was higher).

what i read was it wasn't that boykin was doing anything wrong in practice, it was that gay goes to the slot in the nickle and cockrell plays outside as does blake. nowhere for boykin since gay plays that spot. it's that simple.

The irony of the whole situation is that the knock on Mosely out of college was his injuries. I think he had one during the draft workouts too. As a buckeye fan I can only remember Shazier missing one game (maybe 2?) during his 3 years at OSU. It's really a crapshoot.

Hopefully Shazier can stay healthy because I think if he reaches his potential, you will forget all about Mosely.

I played five years of Division 1A football and used that scholarship to get two engineering degrees. Do you really want to continue your attempts to lecture me about football or physics?

Look at my avatar did Clark hut Mcgahee or was it reversed. I played 12 years and have coached for going on 8 years now. Sorry but the guy that lands on his back was the guy that got hit. Like I said if you played that long then you would now its normally the guy delivering the hit that gets the stinger not the other way around.
