There are a few coaches who just might do this though in the future. Also, it didn't look like they were playing for the TD.

One broken tackle and you could have a TD.
You take the ball first in OT 99% of the time.

I do love the idea of organizational IQ. If the average OrgIQ for NFL teams is 100, I would rate the Steelers about an 85. Which team has the highest and which team the lowest?

Highest - Patriots? Packers? Someone else?
    Lowest - Cleveland? Jets?

Oh I think that's the right call 99%, but when you've been playing for field goals and your kicker stinks......

Yes, you give them the ball first. They will have to score a TD because kicking field goals in that direction combined with the windy conditions is almost not an option unless it's a chipshot. Why get the ball first when we had trouble just getting a 1st down all half?? It's not easy to move the ball when your playing scared, they call it playing conservative. So I think we should've taken our chances with our pathetic defense, hoping to get a short field. By all means, do what you have to do not to face that open end zone on a windy day...

btw ...I think every kicker in the league would've had trouble kicking that night to the open end zone

Then why didn't he use Bell and DeAngelo on 1 and 3 yards for the win? Not just once, multiple occasions.
The prior games our RB was out, one of the leagues best, so we logically relied heavily on our QB, also one of the leagues best. Make sense. Coming into this game the QB is now out but the elite RB is back in. The two question marks we had were the recently added back-up QB and Kicker. You need 1 to 3 yards for a win who do you go to?

They chose the two unknown variables again and again. With Bell, we know what we got.
No Sir, I don't understand that logic.

Probably because they were stacking 7 men in the box to stop the run.

Thank you Lizard. I was considering posting something along the same lines as the posts you have in this thread.
the moment we said we want the ball the Ravens IMMEDIATELY said "kickin that way"
damn well knowing that we had to get a td to win and our kicker was in the

I think the lowest has to the Redskins. Snyder thinks a blank check can make his team a winner. Wasted more draft picks, coaches and money trying to buy a team juggernaut and failed time and time again. Move up to draft a franchise QB then hire a coach that wants a pocket passer for his west coast offense and promptly benches that franchise QB

Then you give it to Bell to the left / right. You need 1 yard, for the game mind you, do you think Bell can get it in two tries? He's already stacked 120+ for ya. You go with Vick and Scoobie (the 2 ? marks) instead? You get a chance o rectify your earlier decision but you do it again!

    And yet again!!!

    Boneheaded coaching.
