Yeah but it should have never come down to that. We had, what seemed to be, a pretty solid game plan in the first half. Running the ball, letting Vick run - getting it out of his hands quickly. Then, for some inexplicable reason, we TOTALLY go away from that in the second half. I have no explanation for some of the play calling in this game. It's embarrassing.

I don't disagree but let me ask... then what do we pay Tomlin for? Seriously. Most HCs are a coordinator for one side of the ball. Not here. There have been several former head coaches here since Tomlin came on board and they call the O and D. Mike doesn't. If we need a "clock manager", and god knows we should have a "challenge flag manager", then WTF does Tomlin do? I actually like Tomlin. I do. He seems like a good man and the players like him so I can buy that he's a "leader" and such but the guy really adds absolutely nothing to the sidelines DURING a game. An idiot kicker, ****ty refs, a no-talent scumbag QB, and everything else aside, we win that game last night if Tomlin is even an average NFL head coach strategy-wise.

Just want to add that when your driving down in overtime and you are like third and 2 and you don't have faith in the kicker for a 51 yard field goal, you also have you're back up QB in, at that time the head coach goes to Haley and says okay you got 2 plays to get 2 yards for a first down, so run your 2 best run plays and get the first down.

Now if Ben is in its a different story. Having Vick throw at that time from the middle of the pocket is not his strength, and the worst thing you could. At the least do a rollout with an option to run or throw. Vick has a hard time in the pocket he gets rattled easily and has a hard time seeing over the lineman. This was brought up numerous times prior to the game on the NFL channel.

The head coach has to take control at that time. If your not going to kick the field goal at that time you should know in advance that on 3rd and 2 from that position, with that QB, that your going to run twice if you have to get the first down down.
