No QB, NO Kicker, we are doomed! I don't think we will beat the Browns this season.

They do have a QB prospect in Jones who could be a solid DLG QB if they have the guts to try him. He showed some progress during preseason without a heavy dose of Bell and Williams, didn't play with Wheaton or Brown and can at least throw right handed and maybe finds the most reliable TE in the game versus the Ravens in Miller. At the very least he can call a HB dive from the power I formation and that is gold in and of itself

You know Ben's only out 4-6 weeks right?

I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but the Steelers need to play Landry Jones next week. It can't get any worse.

That's to long Glenn. I don't think we can win a game without him. When he returns we could possibly have a record of 2-7.

The thing is, Vick was ok until about midway through the 3rd quarter. Then he started to seem like a turtle retreating into its shell. Did he take a hit that frazzled him or something, or did he just wear down? I don't know that I'm ready for the Jones era just yet, but I'm not feeling so hot about the Vick era after that awful ending.

How exactly does that equate to not being able to beat the Browns?

How come no one is talking about that insurgent that's pretending to be the kicker. Vick did what was expected.

Gotta admit my feelings have the best of me at the moment about playing the Browns.

I disagree. For a Steelers QB, Vick did not do what was expected. He did have a few good throws, but when he can't throw the ball 5 yards downfield, there's a problem.

No and he doesn't have to all he has to do is make a three yard pass on a slant or find Miller on a chip and release route that sustains the drive instead of running a lame ass QB run where not even Beachum blocks anyone on a frikin sweep when you only need a single yard. Shortest distance between two points is a straight line and not a sweep. heck run a read option and at least dive ahead and slide maybe get a first down

Sorry. I don't trust LOLandry "Deer in the headlights" Jones either.

But it's the cards we're stuck with.

Or give the ball to bell.... Coaching. Not Vick. They stopped running with bell in the second half.. Why???

This is as frustrating a loss as I can remember in a long long time. Vick went into ultra conservative mode, along with the playcalling. Did the Rats play with 15 guys on defense? Brown gets open throw the ball his direction! He is open even when he isn't. There is plenty of blame to pass around. Bad blocking at crucial times, missed tackles, missed FG's, terrible play calling and dropped passes that would have lead to first downs. I am not on or off the Vick bandwagon but if you are not going to throw the ball downfield then give Landry a try. We have the playmakers to stretch the field, use them!

He was Ok? seriously? You say he was Ok because he didn't lose the game in the first half? You do realize the only reason we are in that game is because our defense? Vick basically didn't turn the ball over...that is why he was OK. He also did nothing to help us win. Tomlin did nothing to help us win that game..and the kicker did his best to prevent a win as well. embarrassing.

Besides hitting brown in the end zone for the TOU... Drop... His worst play was the bad throw at the end. Which the ball should have never been in his hands in the first place smh

Point is, Vick did his job. The coaches and the kicker however.... I can forgive Brown for dropping one pass. I can't forgive putting the ball into a backup QBs hands when we have a running back like a Bell.

Yes. Instead of taking a divisional rival to overtime in a game that we had like 5 opportunities to win, we could get blown out like what the Patriots did to the Jags last week. It can actually get a LOT worse.

You guys are forgetting that we played the Ravens, not the Bears.

Managing an offense that scores 20 points against the Ravens is doing your job. The defense gave up 23. Technically the offense contributed more than the defense.

The offense gave the Raven's a short field more than once..and it resulted in points. Lets not forget the huge INT that changed the field position and prevented the Raven's from scoring. The offense took the ball from that INT and did nothing with it.
