Something happened his last 2 seasons with us. The turnovers got so bad Andy Reid benched him. Vick is not even a decent back up at this point in his career, maybe third stringer. There's a reason nobody wanted him in the offseason. Im just telling you guys what to expect. Vick had Desean Jackson,Jeremy Maclin, and Lesean Mccoy and he still was putrid. At this time all of those guys were the best in the league. It doesn't matter how good players are around Vick. The guy just isnt the sharpest knife in the kitchen.

He's a very bad decision maker which leads to most of his turnovers and he cant even run anymore. I dont know who is your back up behind Vick but no way he could be much worse im predicting you will him soon due to Vicks poor play or him being made of glass. Go with your 3rd stringer guys! Did you guys see Vick with the Jets last season? He couldnt even beat out Geno Smith in an open qb competition. SHEESH! GENO FRIKKIN SMITH! Anyhow goodluck.

Normally we don't allow non-Steelers fans to post in the Steelers forum, but this seemed relevant.

Love watching the Steelers vs Ravens rivalry games with Ben.They're always good. Hope he gets well soon. I think he's so underrated. Tonight i believe you guys can win if you run heavy and if Vick doesnt turn the ball over and thats a big if.

No offense but the Iggles have been in disarray for a decade and a half. Meanwhile our team turned a car insurance salesman into a pretty decent QB by surrounding him with high level talent. I think Vick will surprise some people tonight. By the end of the game your message board will be having a dozen threads about why they didn't keep him.

How many TD's did he throw in that game? When was the last time he passed for 3 tds in a game? How many years ago?

Decade and a half, how do you figure that? Theyve been to the playoffs 12 times in that span, 4 of which were conference championship games and one SB appearance. Theyve won 10 games or more 10 times.

People are going to be surprised alright but its not going to be Vicks detractors.

you guys can talk stats all day but i watched vick in philly and in NY and he was bad. this was a terrible move by MT, but it is what it is. i hope he plays well but i also hope landry gets put in the game if he doesn't. if vick gets hurt MT will have made another bad decision of not bringing in a 3rd arm to teach.

That's impressive if you're a browns fan. Here we don't puke in the huddle with a chance to win the game, we drive down the field and find Santonio in the corner of the end zone. Go troll the Lions or Jaguars site, jk, lol

yeah if you cant beat out geno smith you are no longer of any use in the NFL. I can see it now post game on NFL Network. "Are the Steelers in trouble?" Is it time for vick to hang em up"?

I will root for ANY Steeler player...even Vick. But if it weren't for the fact that Vick and Tomlin were
" Hommies " from Da Hood......he never would have been signed here. But with that said...Vick is still better then Landry Jones was at this time.

Given Tomlin's track record on putting in another qb I'd be extreeeeemely surprised if we see Landry tonight. Regardless of how bad Vick does. Remember when Lefty got hurt and Tomlin refused to sit him? Or when Ben was CLEARLY hurt in SF and he refused to sit him which resulted ultimately in the Tebow debacle in my opinion. I hope I'm wrong but I'd say I'm not.

Only way Landry gets in tonight is if Vick is injured. But if Vick plays so poorly in the next 2 games, you might see Landry start the 3rd. Long shot but you never know. I think ultimately, MT would stick with Vick no matter how bad he is doing.

It will be interesting to see how Tomlin handles the QB position. He's not had to worry about it till now. If Vick is awful and turns the ball over like I expect him to do.. will Tomlin replace him? My gut tells me Tomlin will stick with his decision to use Vick as our starting QB no matter what. Obviously Tomlin wanted Vick to come to Pittsburgh. Benching Vick would be admission that he made a big mistake. I hope Vick suprises us all but I can't help but think it's a big mistake to use Vick right now. We are not a team that can over come turnovers.

In years past I think we start the guy with the best understanding of the offense. Now we're going with the veteran that has little understanding of the offense. It's an interesting change of philosophy I think. I expect a ton of screens and a whole lotta running. Tomlin has NEVER been a guy that surprises the opponent. I'm sure the Raven's are fully expecting a simple game plan and will be VERY aggressive defensively in an attempt to force us into mistakes.
