He had his best season with the Eagles. I'm not even going to bring up the jets.

I don't like Vick either, and I agree with the Defense. We did better then the Bills against the Patriots.

Fact is, I'm going to worry about them more then Vick. I worried about the entire fourth quarter on Sunday. Why? I saw them play last year.

None of us have watched Vick under this offense. I'd be willing to bet that this offense is better then the Jets, and the Eagles. We have a running back to keep defenses honest, and best of all... We won't see a defense like the Rams until Arizona.

Now, the little time Vick played on Sunday looked bad. It seemed like he was trying to be careful... Too careful. Didn't help much that the line didn't block. Also didn't help that the coaches were waiting to let him throw until 3rd and 10, after trying to run up the middle with no prevail 100 times.

It's a team effort, and if the offense can do what they do for Ben I truly believe that Vick can make the throws. I believe that they can win more then lose as long as the defense doesn't do what they did with the Patriots in week 1 and all of last year...

In the case that the defense doesn't prevail: they will lose them ALL, because everybody knows that Vick is not Big Ben. He can't win games by himself. Hints... The Eagles and the Jets.

I just knew you were gonna reply to me haha I'm glad we disagree on something tho, I usually find myself agreeing with you.

Food for thought. If you take Vick's WORST statistical season as a passer only (comp %, TD/INT ratio, QB rating), you can only find ONE season where Gradkowski surpassed those numbers. Also if you take gradkowski's career average in all 3 categories, Vick has NEVER had a season that low in any single category. Ever. If Vick is hot garbage, what does that make Gradkowski? Hotter garbage? Cold garbage? Idk which is worse lol

I think the lefty thing is over stated. His height would have more of an effect IMO. I think he will do okay. I hope at least, because I don't want to lose the the Ravens... I have a bet with my rat-fan step-dad.

I know, we usually agree but are light years apart on this one :lolol:

Grad has played with Tampa, Raiders and Cleveland, think that might skewer his stats a little??? :hmm:

Not to mention if you look at Vick since 2011, hes horrendous, his stats are padded by his earlier years, who cares what he did then, Im talking about now, hes 35 years old and a turn over machine. His only assets is he can throw deep and can run.

I would never advocate Grad to be a long term starter, I think he can be effective in small stretches though. I also said his game is better suited for our offense, it doesnt fit Vick at all. If the left handedness didnt matter, they woudn't be changing up the jug machines to get used to it. In the end, probably not earth shattering but just one more things our receivers have to work on that they shouldnt have had to.

Doesn't matter who is more garbage, Vick is starting, so you better hope his garbage smells a little better ;)

I must admit I was on the side of all the "debdowners" too, but now since there is really way too much negative concern over this, in true contrarian fashion I am going to expect the best. Then again, maybe that is just wishful thinking.

Anyway all week I have been wanting to mention that I thought the game against
Tennessee week 2 the year Ben was suspended was one of the all time great Steeler D performances. If I ever did a 10 most memorable game type thing of games other than the real big big ones that game would surely be included. Anything even close to that tonight and everything will fall into place.

Me, too. I would feel so much better if Gradkowski was playing tonight. Now, part of that is that I am just not that familiar with Vick. I saw him live in Buffalo during the preseason. The guy is SMALL. I think he took a shot in just the small amount of time he was in the Rams game. He has to get the ball out of his hands FAST or he wont survive tonight and THEN we are stuck with Landry Jones.

I live in NW PA- Pittsburgh is about 2 hours away. It is really windy here today. My hope is that Pittsburgh is getting the same weather conditions and that both offenses will have to rely heavily on the running game.
