Haley must inform him he will keep both hands on the ball tight and close to his body, this guy has 93 career fumbles and that has to be close to a record......

NFL website says he has 97 career fumbles... 43 of which were lost.

If you want to think positive he probably owns the NFL record for most fumble recoveries with 23. :smiley1:

Actually after looking at the record books... Mr Brett Favre has the record with 166. Which is one of several reasons why I think Brett Favre is maybe the most over rated QB in nfl history.

Vick ranks 18th in NFL history. But I gotta think vs games played or attempted passes to fumbles he's gotta be #1 in league history. Which is a scary thought.

I'm not even sure why these type of Vick threads are even allowed to go on.
All they are is people questioning other peoples morals, integrity, love of animals, etc.
Most of these comments really have nothing to do in any shape or form with the Steelers. I think by now we all know how each of us feel about Mike Vick. Can we just get back to complaining about players that are cut from the practice squad?

I can't believe this ,but I agree with you.LOL. What is the point? People feel the way they feel and that's just how it is . Let's move on to the Football side of things .

Most people are keeping it about football. Did you think if Ben went down no one would be upset about Vick under center after the outrage of his signing? No need to dust off the old board police badge. ;+)

This thread began as a football discussion.

And these comments are allowed because no one is breaking any rules, conversations have been mostly civil. When Vick was signed there was an initial outburst and then died down. Now he is the starter and there is another outburst, it too will go away. Dont worry about it.

Edit: TTF is a quicker draw than I am :lolol:

I want Vick to succeed just so the Steelers win. I don't agree with what he did in the past but I am willing to give him a second chance. I am hopeful he is just keeping the seat warm for Ben if and when he returns. But to wish someone to not to succeed when on your team I haven't ever understood. Now if I was a Ravens fan and had Ray Lewis on my team that might be a different story... :)

I think we need to talk about Vick the football player as it stands now, some people think dog abuse is worse than drug abuse among players, all I care about is can he win some games till ben gets back in the saddle....

Just run wildcat formations from here on. And resign Brad Wing. Him, AB and Heath can rotate throwing the ball. Deangelo and Bell line up next to each other in the shotgun and run in opposite directions.

We'll be unstoppable. QB? We don't need no stinking QB...

The more I think about this, I know that Vick is behind the curve right now, but they better be getting Jones some reps in practice too. Think of the hits that Ben has taken over the years against the Ravens. Now think of Vick taking those same hits. Vick might not last 6 series, let alone 6 games.

I am a huge fan of dogs. So you can imagine how I feel about Vick. But I am putting that aside for now and looking at this in a football perspective. Vick is so far past his so-called prime. He can't run like he used to. He holds the ball out there like a loaf of bread and is a fumble waiting to happen. He almost cost us the last game when someone knocked the ball out of his hand. He gets the receivers killed by floating the ball out there. He is truly inconsistent as a passer. You need high accuracy to get the ball into tight spaces in the NFL. Vick might be able to do that on a very low percentage of his passes. I am still going to root for the Steelers through thick and thin and hope that Bell has a couple thousand yards in Ben's absence so Vick doesn't have to throw the ball too much. It makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit wanting Vick to do well but Landry Jones shouldn't even be in the NFL so our options are pretty slim at the moment. Lets hope Ben is only out 4 games and we can pull out at least 2 wins in his absence. Therefor I say that I just want Vick to manage the team and not screw it up too much like he did in Philly and New York.

sorry,,,vick is a turd and that is being polite ,as long as he is on the team he will be talked about and hated on,,,,,now this will sound bad to a few of you but I hope he fails miserably because if he does well he will be with the team for a number of years and I just could not handle that

You really need to just avoid posting if you're going to keep doing this.

As I said in a different thread, I hate Vick too. That being said, I'm not going to bash him every single thread about him and I'm certainly not going to wish failure on anyone wearing black and gold. I root for the success of the team not an individual player (which also explains my disdain for fantasy football lol).

I hate to sound like sour grapes but its because he's tight with Tomlin. They were talking about this on First Take but in a positive light and how noble they thought it was that Tomlin gave him a chance when no other team did. Theres a reason no other team did and it's not because of his past, hes not a good QB!
