I'm not sure that rehab is the answer here since people could argue that pot should be legal to begin with and isn't physically addictive. I'd like rehab to be used for harder drugs like coke or heroin that has a serious addiction effect. I think what Bryant really needs is some counseling and perhaps a kick in the nuts for being dumb enough to smoke pot and risk millions of dollars. Just my 2 cents.

But it's not legal and you don't know that it isn't physically addictive to everyone who uses it. Given that some of these guys are risking millions for a joint, Id wager it is addictive to them.

At any point, trying something is better than trying nothing and just hoping a guy with so much promise doesn't follow the path as others before him.

Exactly most people who enter a rehab for pot aren't physically addicted but mentally addicted and don't have the will power to say no. It's more abo7t changing the way of thinking and not dealing with physical addiction. You can be mentally addicted to anything and everything. There's no physical addiction to using your phone, computer, or whatever electronic is your thing but you threaten to take it away and people will have a mental melt down. I think this rehab is more of changing Bryant thinking and outlook.

I could also argue the speed limit should be higher. I could also argue I shouldn't have to wear a seat belt. But my arguments would lose because the laws are the laws. I do agree that "rehab" seems to be the answer to everything these days. A lot of the actual reason for that is because we live in a society where personal accountability and personal responsibility are taboo subjects. Tiger Woods can get caught being an immoral adulterer but then just go to "rehab" for it. A guy on a lame show like Grey's Anatomy can say the n word and then go to "rehab" and all will be forgiven. Really it's just a way to make them out to be "victims" instead of what they actually are which is people that engage in self destructive behavior but only wish to sow and never to reap. It's like the chronic drunk driver who gets busted constantly and when it's finally gonna result in more than just a slap on the wrist he suddenly "has a problem" and "needs help". If he really had a problem and really needs help he should have been in "rehab" already? Right? I hope that Bryant really does get straightened out but it seems if he really wanted to get better he wouldn't be going to "rehab" after failing 3 tests but then magically on the 4th, when there are actual consequences, he suddenly needs "rehab". The timing is an incredible coincidence at best. Probably not a popular opinion on my part but still it's mine and NObody can take it away! LOL!

A dude for the Colts literally went to rehab for a Call of Duty addiction! That dude actually DOES have a mental problem because Call of Duty is horrible and only 11 year old boys who camp and have no skills at actual video games like it. LOL! I keeeeeed! I keeeeeeed! He really did go to rehab for that though. About a year ago I think?

Douchette is the biggest fib teller in Steeltown. I do not believe a word he says TTF. Remember A Smith? Douchbag ask him if he thought they could beat the *pats. Smith's answer was yes we can if we do all the things we practiced and stayed in our lanes. douchbag did not ask him at the end of the 1st interview if it was a guarantee. Then all of a sudden it shows up as
    You going to win? Yeah
    That a guarantee? yeah.
I think douchbag edited that stuff in to his wants

Does anybody know what MB testing requirements will be once he rejoins
the team? Is it a CBA thing or Steelers mandated?

I am going to take a different stance here and say that it is a bit ridiculous that in 2015 there is still negative stigma about marijuana. First of all, negative stigma about marijuana traces back to the 30's with Refer Madness, and that was propaganda that was inspired by... racist reasons. Also, hemp was high competition (tee-hee) for the paper industry and was lobbied against by, you guessed it, the paper industry.

It is a plant with very few negative side effects. No grown men should lose millions over a plant with few negative side effects especially considering that cigarettes are somehow legal.

Roger Goddell could do something vaguely competent by dropping these marijuana cases... Josh Gordon and Justin Blackmon don't need to have their careers ended over once again a plant. Besides, you know what exacerbates domestic abuse? Not marijuana.

Once this drug is made legal in the united states and not just a few states...then what?

Bryant spent 9 hours a day, including 2 counseling sessions per day at the rehab facility in Houston. It's good to hear he put the work in and took this seriously. Hope it helped.

Yeah I hope so, but it really is a good sign he put in all that work. We are really going to need him with Ben down. He is by far our best deep threat.

The funny thing is he could still smoke as much dope as he wanted - during the off season. He just needed to stay clean during the season. The NFL drug policy allows for positive weed tests. Frankly it's stupid IMO. No worse than drinking alcohol. How many players are alcoholics? I'd much rather have a pot addict as a dad, coworker, teammate, etc then an alcoholic.

I think once you are in the program they can test you at any time, even in the off season I could be wrong though.
