There always has to be a winner on Thursday either way so the drum beats on, but it's bad across the board the worst games in prime time are Thursday night period. And every sports show has said the same. Player health doesn't matter, volume of product does...terrible

    I'm so confused.
Last night NFL Network kept pumping up the Thursday night game against the Ravens, I forgot about a game this Sunday.
Too many games coming up too quickly.
No more Thursday nights, at least wait until after Thanksgiving.

It just boggles my mind with their insistence at Thursday night games.

Fine, if you want them that badly, how about ONE simple rule: No team plays on a Thursday unless it's following a bye week, or unless they played on a previous SATURDAY.

He seems to be like Troy he's great when he's out there but the way he flys around he's going to get hurt fun to watch makes you hold your breath

The NFL is really popular right now and that's great but I hate when a product just totally saturates the market to the point that people become jaded with it. If you look at all the other sports leagues the reason they aren't as popular as the NFL is because their seasons are so long and people only really get interested when they've "got something to play for". If the NFL wants to increase the regular season they are gonna run the same exact risk.

I am beginning to wonder about him, he is by far one
of the most gifted player's on this team. He needs to toughen up if he is ever going to be great.

I don't think so, you're still talking less than 20 games a season as compared to 82 for basketball and hockey and 162 for baseball. Every football game has so much meaning as to whether you make the playoffs or not.

And despite how bad these Thursday night games have been, I still find myself looking forward to watching and you just hope its a good one.

And thats another thing, football is the only sport where I like to watch any game. With the other sports, it has to be my favorite team playing unless its the playoffs.

I wouldn't hold out hope that Shazier will be ready for the purple crows. A tease of what can be, but now another injury.

Players Safety :lolol: It's ALL about the money. And television money is the driving force.

Great! Just great!! We saw what Shazier is capable of last week but I was seriously thinking during the game that he's going to get hurt. It seems like somewhat smallish, freakishly fast and fearlessly wreckless is not a good combo for staying injury free.

Didn't Troy stay pretty much injury free until his later years?

I don't know, he always seemed to be dinged up to me. I believe he had multiple concussions dating back to his college days. But that's okay. If we can get the same kind of return out of Shazier that we got out of Troy we'll be okay.

Hopefully we're just playing it safe with him since we have plenty of depth at this position.

After seeing a flash of what Shazier is capable of last week it makes this sting a bit more.

Oh I agree I was just saying the "frequency" of it might make people feel jaded. I always look forward to watching as well and I can watch any NFL game. I can even watch meaningless week 17 games between huge losers.

It seems like the young players coming into the league today, dont have the toughness to play with dings, oh my shoulder is sore I need to sit out this game, you have to play with pain if you want to be a pro at your position, ask Butkus if he played with pain and even broken bones, Larry foote had 8-16 game seasons 2-14 game seasons and 2-15 game seasons in his career, tell me he didnt play with injuries, shazier and JJ tap out to damn much in my opinion.....

    JJ had a broken wrist.
We really have no idea what Shazier is dealing with.
Hard to criticize them for not playing.

Players these days are more of an investment... Hence they are overly protected by the front office. Unless you're Ben! They refuse to sit him out at times and it has hurt the team in the past.
And they are more prima Donna so they value themselves above the team.

Yep, Shazier also appears to be injury prone. The difference is Shazier has shown flashes fairly regularly for a guy who has 3/4 of an NFL season as experience, and is also a freakish athlete.

If it was my choice Moats would be the starting ROLB.

Not sure when the Steeler way became "playing the first round pick regardless of production."

Why do you all hate Moats so much? Why shouldn't the most productive player play?
