I don't feel good about us beating the niners

It usually takes teams a few weeks to get their butts in gear. I feel it'll take a few more games for the defense to gel together. We definitely had some communication errors and some poor tackling. This stuff can be fixed.
That damn 10 yard cushion crap needs to stop too. I figured with Butler, we'd see a change in that at least and go more press coverage. All being said, I think we'll take care of business against the 49ers.

Watching the lambs and Seahawks right now makes me concerned we'll get killed by them too. I think this is going to be a rough year.

The Steelers are 1-6 all time in Seattle. That one already had "L" written all over it when it was scheduled.

It doesn't help that Tomlin is 2-7 in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.

Dont leave the cards out, they looked good yesterday, and Arians has that game circled for revenge, the niners is supposed to be the weak link in that division this year, so if we lose to them it could be 0-4 for us in that division....

I do. I like our offense in week 2. Moving the ball and scoring in the red zone. Bell and Bryant would provide a blowout but since we don't have them then I think it will be close...with us getting the W!

I have been watching the Steelers for 45 years, they have been terrible
playing on the west coast for most of these 45 years. Even during our dynasty years.

Good thing they play the 49ers at home.

I felt good about this game until I watched 49ers v Vikings last night. The 49ers young defense was relentless attacking Bridgewater and Peterson. Carlos Hyde was unstoppable and Kaepernick looked decent. It was the Vikings, but I think this is going to be a tough one.

Well I don't think the 49ers are bad as everyone bad as everyone made them out to be.
But, if the Steelers play the way they can play, they can beat them, even with Bell and Bryant still out.

Yeah this. The NFL tends to be a week to week league though and what looks great against one team may not be so against another. That being said, the Niners defense looked able, fast, hungry, and ready. Plus, play action tends to send our defense into a comatose state. Oppositions will be different in week 2 as will venues, but it's still early in the season. I don't put tremendous stock in having more rest being a huge advantage this early. Niners will have confidence approaching this game with good reason. We'd better respond in kind, have a good game plan, and play with some freaking passion!

Really? I got the opposite from that game. The niners looked terrible, and in reality both teams looked awful. Being an OSU fan, I knew Hyde was the real deal but they don't have much offense outside of him. As long as we stop the run on early downs and keep Kaep from running a lot, we should do well against their offense. The Vikings were really inept offensively too. It will be a lot tougher to stop our offense than it was to stop the Vikes.

They just had a late Monday night game at home, and we had a Thursday game. We play them on a short week at home. That could come into play too. I still think this one should be a relatively easy win for us with a chance to be a blowout. I've been wrong before tho lol

Don't write this game off as an easy victory, this steeler team doesn't have the luxury of under estimating any team this year, that niner defense looked pretty impressive with 5 sacks and 1 or 2 picks, passes broken up all over the field, and their offense wasn't bad at all in the second half, I'll remain un-convinced until I see the steelers play a decent game, and i'm still not sure this will be that game....

I don't think the Steelers will take them lightly... im a fan, me underestimating them has no effect on anything. I was just pointing out my opinion. I saw a team that made pee wee errors all over the field. They muffed a punt, got a field goal blocked, had a defensive penalty on a Hail Mary, and a multitudeof pre snap penalties. Dilfer and Berman were astonished at how awful the two teams were playing. The lone bright spot saw how well Hyde ran. He's gonna be they key for us to win. Stop him, stop the niners.

The Vikings were self checked out there. I would be shocked if we had anywhere near the same struggle with their D as they did.

I think we will do fine. I understand the caution tho. I know we would all feel better when the steelers finally start putting it together. This is a game I think we should see that happen. I hope I'm right lol

I was a little more impressed with SF after watching the game last night. I still think the Steelers will win Sunday's game but I'm not sure I want to give the 6 points to SF. I think the over bet with the over/under being 45 might be the way I go. Instead of splitting my bet this week I might just put it all on the over 45 points. Can't do any worse than last week.

The Niners couldn't handle this offense at all!
Our D is starting to come around and Shazier starting to turn it up and use that speed of his.

I liked our game against the Pats and what we did being down Bryant, Bell, Pouncy and most of all our Kicker.

Look out for the Steelers Offense this year. They're the real deal.

The 9ers were coming off Monday night and then had to travel to the east coast, while the Steelers had 10 days rest. I knew it was going to be tough for SF. Solid win though.
