    before I pass judgement on next weeks game I want to see what the 49er's look like this week ,,the Steelers loss 1,,ok,,but Brady is a passing machine and was held under 300yrds,,,,Kaepernick is no Tom Brady

    7+7+7= 21. This was a hypothetical analysis. Hypothetically they could have gone for 2 in all those TD's. It didn't happen that way. The O is the goat for this game.

    There's those people who see a glass as being half full and those that see the very same glass as being half empty. Then there are just some people who will complain about the glass not being big enough, ornate enough, too heavy, too light...;)

    The 49ers O-line isn't good the Steelers will get some sacks this game, and their defense isn't very good the Steelers win in a blowout.

    No, the D didn't look good Thursday night, but who thought they would? It's a work in progress and they were going against an offensive machine. That was a mismatch the day the schedule came out. BUT...

    1. An early test like that will make this D better in the long run;
    2. Kapernick is NOT Brady;
    3. This game is at home.
    4. Steelers have ten days.

    Steelers will win.

    If you put this defense in a glass, it would be empty!!!!

    The pats started three rookies in their Oline and did a good job keeping brady protected, what makes you think the niners oline will be so bad????

    They held Brady under 300 yards you say, but he threw 4 TDs, thats all he needed to beat us, that last TD we got was garbage time and meaning less, this defense gave up 361 yards in total, not going to win many games giving up that much yardage, you can have a weaker secondary if you can mask it with a strong front 7 pass rush, but the truth is we have neither right now, and doubtful in 10 days it will be any better, you can change schemes but you cant change the talent level of the starters...

    I'm confident the team rebounds against the niners. Let's see if the defense can improve their tackling with the shifty Reggie Bush.

    Rookie OLB Eli Herald should get some snaps. Curious to see how he does for the 49ers. Seemed to small for my liking, but some others were high on him around draft time.

    ....so by this logic, the Patriots should have lost because they gave up far more yardage than the Steelers did and the Steeler's also deserved to lose because they gave up so much yardage. I know what you're saying and we all know why they lost Thursday night but yardage gained or given up is never a true measuring stick (no pun intended) of final score and season results. Never more apparent than the Pats game. A Steeler recovery of that Deon Lewis fumble easily could have shifted the outcome. I have to say, watching the game on time delay having inadvertently seen the final score ahead of time was much more palatable because I was morbidly watching ONLY to see how in the hell we kept the Pats to 28 points!

    The title of this thread would be the same even if we were playing the Mud Dogs absent Bobby Boucher.

    Yeah, but they scored a FG on one of those, thus the 18 points. No biggie...

    I think the niners are going to have major problems with this Offense of ours.

    I like our shot, a lot.

    Very few QBs get rid of the ball as quickly as Brady. I like our chances at getting multiple sacks this week.

    Against one the most mobile QBs in the league, good luck on that, you think they will be able to get into alignment this week, they seemed to be confused doing it against the pats, one of the most basic things and they even screwed that up....

    I think they'll probably look much more competent at home against the 49'ers.

    Having to fly in from the west coast on a short week should help us too. Maybe a few will get some lingering bumps tomorrow night.

    If not I hate to be "that guy" but I think if we show up unprepared and uninspired at HOME it will seriously be time to start thinking about moving on from Steely McBeam. Not saying that's gonna happen but just that we need to be prepared to take drastic measures is all.

    Come on BFT, Steely McBeam has had, what, eight years in position? He's a relative newbie. You got to give him a chance.
