You could see Roethlisberger struggling with reception during pregame.

It happens all the time at Foxboro and has been for years. Marvin Lewis and Karlos Dansby are named sources plus some anonymous ones.

If you can't talk to them you can't set them up and that is huge in a new defense.

How is it possible when we can control drones halfway around the world, and the NFL has more money than the military, that the stadium/league is in charge of headset communications and it is screwed up. Allow the teams to control their own communications, unless there is some "fairness" they are trying to enforce, which obviously is failing.

The talking points in Boston are already waving it away.

"The NFL supplies them, so we had nothing to do with it."

Right... because it's impossible to sabotage something. And this has NEVER happened at Foxboro before... And other teams have NEVER complained about it... And oddly enough, it NEVER happens to the Patriots.:bscow:

Then the NFL rushes out to give the "official explanation" and it's laughable. Poor power thingamajig whosawhatsit plus bad weather. Oddly enough, only affected the visiting team - again - for the umpteenth time. They may as well have said this:

It's pathetic how quickly the NFL rushes to hush everything up, sweep it under the rug with little to no investigation, and close ranks to protect the shield... and get the Cheats off the hook again.

This is a modern stadium? With boatloads of money? In 2015? Gimme a break...

I am not sticking up for the Pats, I hate them about as much as I do the Raven's. But ARE WE SURE when the head set malfunction happened aren't the refs suppose to remove the other teams headsets? Did this happen?

One of the headline stories for the today show this morning is radiogate. Hasn't aired yet, but it should be coming up soon.

That's some crap right there. Although, I wouldn't put it past the NFL to screw it up on purpose to throw dirt on the Patriots front and center on opening night.

Would definitely cement every other fan-base against them.

What ticked me off was the smugness of the local media about it! They all had the "so what you got beat" attitude! The smugness is strong with these people!

One guy actually said it was like a big finger to the NFL and he would love it if they had done it on purpose! WTF?!

Or Hacked. Surely you wouldn't doubt the Pats would do something like that would you? It was their stadium after all.

What's really sad is the fact that when he was asked about this in his presser he was pretty clear that he thought it wasn't a coincidence but then tried to move on from his remarks and then the press sorta, well, pressed him on it and it seemed he was about to open up a little more and then NFL Network IMMEDIATELY cuts away! Then, Heath Evans, a former Patriot was acting like it was no big deal and saying "well if their headset was out so was the Pats" but the deal of it all for me is the fact that Tomlin said it "always" happens there. Charlie Batch said on Cooler Talk that it's not unusual in the NFL for that to happen and that it happens often BUT in Gillette it "always" happens. That just seems more than a coincidence since several other teams have complained about it. Yes, I know that our defense couldn't find their faces with a mirror which is EXACTLY why we need as level a playing field as possible.

The New England Patriots "are who we thought they were"! They are the poster organization for winning ar all costs. Unfortunately, their lack of accountability and credibility is rewarded, not punished. A small microcosm of the erosion of morals and values in sports (and other things).

Tomlin should have called a timeout immediately at the first indication that there was a problem with the headsets and then refuse to continue the game until the problem was resolved. He then should have demanded that he get that time out back. I'm so sick of the Patriots pulling the wool over the eyes of the NFL.

And you don't think the Pats could figure out a way to tamper with it in their own stadium.
