We will beat the Pats

I don't care what any of you say, Steelers got this. Ben is on a mission. Pats starting center might not even play and they lost players on defense.
I believe Butler has something up his sleeve, it's a smokescreen. Everyone will be surprised.

What Butler has up his sleeve is a smelly armpit of a defense. Humble pie on order though - just in case most of us are wrong.

I've been feeling this way for the past several days also. I hope he pulls out something that completely fubars their offense and we can get a decent lead!

 

Man, I hope you're right.... But I have the opposite feeling.

I like the optimism!

 

We'll see. So many question marks on both sides of the ball. If we turn out as a cohesive unit, then who knows. If we turn out like we did against the Ravens without Bell, then we're in trouble.

 

Everybody is already chalking this game up as a bad loss so the Steelers should play with nothing to lose. I'd focus more on stopping Brady...in whatever way it takes. If you're gonna lose make it worth something.

 

Well, I agree we could give up 78.

 

No doubt in my mind we will win this game... but i think we are gona win everygame..

Id feel a lot better if I knew Tuitt is completely 100%. We need the 3 d-linemen in Brady's face early. We got a shot if that happens.

 

I say Brady is gonna come out and absolutely lose his mind. Not to mention, we saw what this offense looked like without Bell at the end of last season. Williams is serviceable but Bell is a super stud and I'm more concerned even with Bell's absence than I am Brady's presence. Also not having Bryant is a killer too. The pats thrive in that "us vs the world" nonsense and it's almost like they need some ridiculous melodrama to even get ready for a game.

 

Most times I get a gut feeling about how we will do and it is usually right. Against the Pats, usually a bad feeling, but this time I have a surprisingly good one. I think we win this time.

If I had to guess how the game goes, I think we will get a big lead, then the Pats make it close late, but we win. So I`m banking on the Pats getting a slow start while our offense runs smooth the whole game. If our defense plays better than expected, then maybe we win comfortably like the score you predict, but I`m guessing our defense is Swiss cheese and we win 44-42.

 

Both teams are slow starters in recent years. Personally I don't feel confident in this game for the same reason I don't feel confident about the Steelers versus any top offense: Steelers are geared now to be offense first whereas the old Steelers were about minimizing mistakes, keeping it close, protecting a lead or winning it at the end.

Anything could happen as the scores explode. I am mostly interested in Shazier vs. Gronk tbh within the game. Deangelo Williams is going to pay off hugely and let's hope for good ball security.

 

edelman has a bad ankle. their center is out and one starting wr. opposite edelman. at least i saw that today on espn. it don't have to be pretty but effective.
