Hello fellow fans

Hi, my name is Justin. I have been watching the Steelers with my dad since 1977. I am a student teacher in California and I am married with two wonderful daughters. I have NFL ticket so I can watch all the games with my family. I hope we have a great year and I am glad to meet you all.

 

Welcome and also you've gotta tell me if you're a Venom fan or not.

 

Are you a comic-con guy? If so, I am attending my first comic-con with my 13 year old nephew. I know nothing about this event, except that a lot of people dress up. I am going as a Gotham Rogue fan just because of the Steelers. My nephew is immersed in all of this stuff. I am pretty sure I will be the only Gotham Rogue fan there. It was that or slave girl leia, and I am not dressing up in that costume while watching four 13 year old boys!

 

Well I am a die hard comic book, cartoon, video game, action figure collector, fan but my favorite convention is Heroescon in Charlotte. Comic Con used to be mecca but now it has become so corporate that it's mostly just like a bunch of celebrities and stuff walking around. I always do the little quote things with my fingers when I say "comic" con because they've made it more about the next Marvel movies than they have about comic books anymore. If he likes to cosplay though he will have a ton of fun and I'm sure you will too because there will definitely be some awesome costumes there. I personally don't cosplay but I know some people that do. If he's a big comic book fan and wants to meet his favorite writers or artists he might be a little disappointed in the lineup but if he likes the movies and stuff like that he will think it's awesome. Also I don't blame you for not wearing that but you will DEFINITELY see some people that are! What's funny is you will see a lot of people wearing things they should NOT be wearing! LOL! I can't tell you how many fat Mystiques, white Luke Cage's, overweight Ant Man's, and skinny Batman's I have seen in my years of going to cons. LOL! Also in case you didn't know, when I asked him if he liked Venom I was talking about the 80s metal band that some say founded black metal. Not the comic book character, whom I love btw. LOL.

I personally do not really want to go to this thing, I am just taking my nephew and his friends for his birthday....should be interesting, we will see. I am dressing as a Gotham Rogue fan...pretty boring compared to some of the costumes I have seen, but at least I will be original and will be showing love to the Steelers.

I could definitely understand not wanting to go if you're not really in to that stuff. My wife wouldn't go with me to save her life but I really do think you will have a good time though. You seem like a REALLY awesome Aunt to me! Also He-Man rules! LOL!

 

Yeah. They are still playing I think. Man their early work is just.... well... not very "musical". LOL!

Comic con here in San Diego? That's a good aunt if you bought tickets a year in advance! The hotels jack their prices through the roof for this event. Word to the wise.
