Interesting about Gray. Might be worth a shot with only 2 RB's on the roster right now.

Wes Johnson, maybe. Depends on whether or not we like him better than Finney. I doubt we would look to acquire him, but who knows? We seem to have a ton of interior OL. I know we just signed a guy to the PS, but you'd think we be looking more at OT's that C/G's

I thought it was a series, lol.

Neither one of them are starter material but Grad suits our offense better. Vick is a pretty bad QB actually, the Jets didn't even retain him, nor could he take Genos job, thats saying something. His preparation also sucks, he wasn't prepared to come into a game that Geno got hurt in, even apologized for it after the game.

I think that dude must have some maturity problems or something. He had that one great game and then was late for a meeting and Bill benched him for the rest of the year and refused to eve let him dress for the Super Bowl. There's gotta be some kind of problem with that kid for all that stuff to happen. I mean that's pretty harsh.

Maybe but he could be a solid #3 RB, he could give the Steelers some tips on the Patriots before Thursday's game.

I bet Tomlin would think of him as another Mendy or Dwyer.

Wow... are you sure you're not letting Vick's off the field history influence your perception of him on the field? I don't even think it's remotely debatable that he is a much better option on the field than Grad. I didn't want us to bring him here because of his past, but I havery to say that we are now in a situation where we could weather the storm if Ben misses a few weeks with an injury. Vick can get the ball down field, and our receivers can get down field. That 63 yard pass the Bryant on his first play in the b&g was no fluke. This isn't the Jets receiving core he's throwing to now.

true its not but what about Vick's playing record speaks to him being consistent for long stretches or solid playoff success. I think people tend to get dazzled by his big arm and the running ability and forget that we aren't talking about a guy that led his team to the playoffs when in his prime.

I never thought Vick was any good before the whole dog thing. I usually think poorly of all running type QB's because well, basically they suck when asked to actually be a QB.

    From PFF:
I'm really stunned people think a 35 year old past his prime QB that was never really any good to begin with is such a security blanket.

The Broncos cut Gino Gradkowski. I have to think the Steelers kick the tires.

I saw safety Cedric Thompson was cut by the Miami Dolphins. He was a draft favorite of Mac and I. Drafted in the 5th out of Minnesota. Signed to the Dolphins practice squad, but had interest from two other teams. Patriots and Giants. I would definitely poach this guy if there's an injury. He would have to be signed to the 53 though to get him off their PS.

I noticed a guy named Doran Grant on the wire. He was the highest drafted player on there. Maybe we should look at him? LOL!!! SORRY! I just could NOT resist doing that! I tried. My wife asked me why I was focusing so hard and almost meditating and I said "I'm trying to not post this comment" but I just failed to control myself. I'll show myself to the corner now.

So they signed a back up running back who specializes in kick off returns? What is Dri Archer for? That is a rhetorical question. It just seems the team is more in love with the idea of the speedy scat back than what the guy actually does on the field. He runs very fast, check. He also gets tackled very easily.

The Huskers run a jet sweep very well with Pierson-El. I would think the Steelers can do this as well. I think I've seen it a few times with AB but not Archer. I could be wrong. There have been some questionable cuts/PS additions, I hope Archer is used more effectively this year and he warrants the spot on the 53.
