OL: We need OT back-up and Hubbard needs replacing!

RB: Harris, you had your chance, Dri, please,

Safety: OLD man Allen is top dog, nuff said

QB: Vick will be the worse # 2 in the league And the Landry experiment should be over. If Ben goes down the season is over !!!

CB: After Gay, Allen, Boykin we have nothing really, Grant/Fogg/Webb has potential but can't be relied upon to defend against Starters.... Blake is just a backup at best.

I'd kick the tires on some RB's. I don't like the fact that Williams has to hold down the fort with virtually nothing to back him up.

I hope the FO would keep a close on QB's too.

We have next to zero depth, the 3rd. string O for the Panthers could play against our starting D and give them fits. Joe Webb is still the QB I would like to have he looks the part now.

    1. I think we picked up a waiver wire OL from the saints to the PS already. But yes, Hubbard needs to go.

    2. Harris could easily be replaced. Dri isn't going anywhere tho.

    3. Yup. Anything at safety would be great. In all reality we should've used our first round pick this year at this spot.

    4. Vick is far from the worst #2 in th league. Very far. I think he is a significant upgrade from Grad, and he's actually played some recent NFL snaps. And yeah, Landry could be cut but he won't be... So there's that.

    5. I like our CB crop as it stands. We just had to cut a pretty good player in Fogg and send him to the PS. We spent two pretty high picks on corner and have a few other good players in Gay and Boykin. Don't see anything happening on the CB front.

Wow, couldn't disagree more, dont know why people think so poorly of Grad, he's perfectly suited for a back up roll, starter, no, back up, definitely. He's much better than Vick, much.

I guess we will just disagree then lol we never saw Grad play as a steeler. Played in one underwhelming game this pre season before getting hurt. I don't remember his previous pre season. He was never a good starter in the NFL... I just never saw anything to get excited about.

Vick has been a good starter in the NFL for a long time, and in my opinion is still probably a top 40 QB in the NFL. He's good. He has been there. The only sucky thing is that he is lefty. Idk, I just feel way better about him than I did with Grad. I still hope he never plays lol

No? Guess you missed the Ravens game :smiley1:

Small sample size but what I'm really basing it on is what I have seen from him as a starter, he is good in small chunks but not enough to sustain it as a starter.

Vick has always been one of the most over hyped players, deadly with his legs but not much else going on for him.

They need to look at bringing in some DE depth. Tomato Can Thomas is just flat out horrible. He will still be taking up a spot unfortunately.

    O Line as well.

There is no one that can be plugged in and make a difference for this secondary. Safety needs bodies. Any bodies...

Archer will be getting another shot. I'm ok with what they have.

Giants released OG Adam Gettis. They poached him off the Steelers practice squad last year. He could be an option.

They cut Darnell Dockett. Is that who you're talking about? As far as RB's go, Fred Jackson was cut by the Bills and he was a guy I always liked but I'm sure he wouldn't come here for such a minimal role. He was visiting Seattle but I don't know if he got a job or not. He will probably wind up in the unemployment line because he's poor. LOL.

Darnell Docket, he has a rib injury but he is worth taking a physical, one of the best pass rushers for years with the cards, he was IR last year with a knee injury now healed, the rib should heal quickly but he was a beast in the 3-4, does he have any gas left, if he does, he's worth a vet mini deal if he passes a physical, can never have enough experienced pass rushers....

One snap? Lol I didn't count that.... I watch all the games :)

I understand Grads stats are limited due to not having played as many games as Vick, but the career stats tell a different story.

    Grad: 52.9% 21TD 24INT 65.8 rate
    Vick: 56.1% 131TD 87INT 80.4 rate
    That's not even counting Vick's 36 rushing TD's

I know you won't still agree with me, but there's no other way to slice it. Vick is in another league than Gradkowski. Has been a much better QB his whole career.

Is it a bad sign that we all seem to be a lot more excited about the potential waiver wire finds this year than in years past? :)
