Brady is a notoriously slow starter and has looked very bad this preseason.

Ha,Ha, I like that attitude, we will win this game, and spoil the prima donnas party, how many points gets scored who knows, we will come to win, not to lay down like some fans here seem to think......

On the positive side.... I don't believe NE has any game tape of our "starting" defense playing together yet..... :hmm:

Which is then covered up and spun into a "they hate us 'cause the 8nt us" rant by Boston area douchebags.

Semantically, the answer is 113. The question is not limited to one team. But I'm just being a smart Alek.

Agreed. I like our chances. We can steamroll them as much as they are capable of doing it to us.

Like this really matters. I don't think our starting defense even knows what they're doing. :p

It will all come down to Big Ben. If we are going to beat them, he will have to do it.
I don't have much faith in the defense, other than hopefully they keep the points under 30, then we might have a shot.

So you hope this year's defense is 20 points better than the defense that played against the Pats last year....

The Gillette Field ghosts of the past will haunt us again - Pats will score a multitude of points on special teams and INT/fumble returns before Brady even sniffs the field. By that time Billicheat will decide to keep his prom queen out of harms way and put in Janine Garoffalo to mop up for the rest of the game. We will be out of it before we're ever even in it and Marcia Marcia Marcia will have little if anything to do with it. In my mind this is almost a better scenario than having him take the field and surgically dismantle our defense du jour.

I would be confident in the Steelers if Bell was on the field. We saw what this offense looks like in the playoffs without him. To add insult to injury Bryant will be missing too. It's hard to believe we can win a shootout with Bell and Bryant sidelined. It's only one game.

I agree the loss of weapons on the offense will hurt us. If Wheaton can get some more YAC like Tomlin has asked of him, that will help.

More importantly though imo, is the loss of Tuitt for this game (if he misses, I haven't seen an update). We've all seen what pressure from the d-line can do to Brady. Tuitt would be a big part of that.

Well, we wanted to play against the pats backup...well, we will still get our wish. They will be so far ahead that Brady can sit the 2nd half out and let the backup play...lol

I would like the Steelers chance of winning a shootout if Bell and Bryant were playing, not so much now.
