Like I said, the judge may indeed split the difference and rule 2 games. If that happens, I think it's almost certain that the NFLPA appeals and seeks a stay. 32 billionaires aren't going to dissuade the NFLPA or the appellate court.

There wont be any appeals, the owner Kraft doesnt want this thing drug out for a season, and the union can only appeal the process and it's doubtful any other judge wants to rehash this thing any farther after it's ruled on............

If one thing is corrupt than all things are corrupt. Dissuade? How do you know it's not going as the owners directed in the first place?

Does this ruling void the entire CBA? Makes me wonder about the validity of the NFL and how much longer Goodell stays in power with this ruling.

I posted this last month, but I'm just gonna leave this here:

Money Talks, the powers that be want Brady in that game to profit off the matchup hype of opening day.

They will make sure he is in that game, and everyone on all sides comes out looking as good as possible. Just seems like a "wag the dog" for the fans.

Moral of the story: Don't bet your house, especially when you have no control over the outcome.

So the NFL rulings have no basis and can be questioned outside of their organization. WOW. I think Bell and Bryant should make a call and tell them they are appealing outside of the NFL reach lol...

And... we just lost week one.

This whole Cheats debacle has just been a big joke. IMO the league is as guilty as shady brady. The cheater gets flamed for not providing his phone to the investigation, and what does the league turn around and do? Withhold one of the VPs involved with the investigation. That's just as shady to me.

Disgusting organization, and got to say, can't stand most of their fans either.

I'm probably going to tick a lot of people off by saying this, but I think this is the right answer. The more in depth I looked into the case, the more bizarre and over the top the NFL's actions looked. The inept tracking and handling of the footballs, combined with questionable "science" made it about a 50/50 prospect (at best) that any tampering even occurred. I think Brady should have gotten some type of penalty for not fully cooperating (maybe a 100k fine or at most 1 game check), but I don't think it should have even gotten to the point of an independent investigation.

I hope we beat them, so bad. Going to be tough as hell when we aren't at 100%. But, a win week one against these guys, would be huge.

I'm very rarely a negative guy when it comes to sports but holy cow doesn't Week 1 have all the feeling of a really bad outcome now? Pats always play like wild banshees when they are PO'd, plus its opening night after their latest Super Bowl win, our D hasn't exactly looked like world beaters this preseason (or the last few years), and Bell and Bryant out. Doesn't help that my brother-in-law is the biggest freakin Patriots bandwagon homer fan imaginable. Just can't even stand to talk to him during football season usually and now the next 2 weeks+ he's going to be miserable.

I envision a bullseye on Brady's chest for the entire season.
