Just to clarify, the Browns released him with an injury settlement, so, they won't be paying his full salary.

Shelton is EXACTLY why the Clowns have no problem letting Taylor go...

Well, That, and they are too stupid to think about what happens if Danny gets hurt...

I "get" to watch the Clowns preseason games, since I live in the area...

They got a pick right, with Shelton, and,

I agree, Wallace better be ready, and we better be giving him help...

That "Newbie", is disruptive, and plays from one sideline, to the other...

Dude is SCARY good, and barely learning the professional level game..

    They got a stud..

This is one rare time, where I would be happy to pick up a player from their "scrap heap"...
Esp, if they are still paying most of his contract...
Phil Taylor is a big, bad, D-lineman, in his own right...

The only thing that would concern me, is if they know more about his knee problems, than the rest of the league does...?:hmm:

    GO STEELERS!

i agree bleed, i wasn't fond of us having to play against him with pouncey either. this isn't the same old brownies. they will be alot better as they go. they had a good draft and their defense wasn't too bad before. shelton is a stud. i wouldn't have been angry if he was our 1st pick this year. i'm not sure how he will play after a dr. wallace exam though.

Boy, the Steelers must have concerns with our depth/talent?

As they should. Defense is not good.

We need the healthy plug and play. Were currently plagued with enough of the incapable. Don't these players eat their Wheaties no longer

Yeah, Shelton was probably one of the most no-brainer picks in the draft. If he doesn't balloon up in weight he'll be a force for a long time.

As for Phil Taylor, it sucks that his knee didn't pass the medical exam. I would've loved to see him replace Cam Thomas on our roster.

I say bring Taylor in a year from now after he has had his surgery to get healthy and healed up. Glad they didn't sign him this year. Sounds like he isn't close to the former player he once was.
