Goodwin, Wild, and Kruger? Wasn't expecting those names to roll across.

Really kind of shocked that Wild was cut so soon.

Me too I really liked the guy. But, too small for linebacker, not quick enough for NFL standards as a saftey.
But, I liked his motor, plays 110% no doubt. Best of luck to him.

Oh man, Wild is gone? He actually looked decent compared to everyone else.

I didn't think he'd be in this first wave of cuts. I have to think he'll be brought back in if he's not picked up somewhere else.

I was surprised that he didn't see any playing time last weekend. That was a little telling I guess.

Sometimes teams know a guy isnt gonna make the team but they have enough respect for him to cut him early enough to try to hook up with another team...

Maybe there was a fitness concern with Wild. Given that he'd shown a lot in the first two games, and then didn't play hardly at all in the third... seems like a decision had been made based beyond on-field performance.

I think Wild was an example cut. Coach Tomlin is using it to so the rest of these guys that he means business. See that guy went above and beyond in his efforts to earn a spot and you see how easy I crushed his dream. Don't think I won't do it to you just watch. He is unleashing December hell in August

    Surprised with Wild too.

More surprised they cut Rahrig over Dismukes. Rahrig was no world beater but I thought he faired better than Dispukes.

Didn't Kruger start Saturday? I hope Fogg hangs on.

Given his statement after the game about not seeing fringe players giving it their all. I would think Tomlin would not cut Wild. He played wherever the coaches wanted and seemed to give it his all.

Really, really surprised Wild was in that first set of cuts. Maybe they're trying to throw people off of him by not playing him then cutting him to try and get him back to the practice squad later?

Damn, was hoping Vick would be in the first wave of cuts :lolol:

Echo everyone else, Wild was a surprise as was Kruger.

I didn't even know Whimpey was still here.

Goodwin has been passed on the depth chart by Murphy and Phillips.

    Fogg
Fogg has been surprising to say the least. Seems to be around the ball a whole lot.

First Post :guitarplayer: ! Haven't had a chance to analyze the pre-season much. How did that guy Jessie James do so far ?

    Welcome!

James has been a bit quiet tbh. Given the injury plague at TE, though, I can't see him getting cut at this point.

I think Goodwin was injured. If not long-term, certainly at a crucial point where he needed to compete against those other two.

Does Mike Adams and his status count against the 53 or with this move he doesn't?

No. Reserve/PUP does not count against the 53 man roster.
