Seems appropriate that Vick will wear # 2!

Been watching the amount of tickets available for the home opener on the NFL Ticket Exchange since the Vick signing and haven't notice an increase in tickets available. I've read a lot of comments on other sites that people were done and giving up their season tickets. Just haven't seen that yet.

two weeks out seems a bit premature to give up although he may make the 53 nothing set in stone yet, injuries and all that. Maybe they are hoping for the Rooneys to suddenly listen to all the fans and decide that they gave Vick's rep enough of a boost and let him go.

I do not wish the best for Vick. I have ****ed up at numerous points in my life. I may even have caused some temporary emotional pain to some people. Never in my life have I caused anyone the kind of pain that Vick inflicted on those animals, not even close. I don't have comprehension, faith, love or any other hippy term you want to use. I have nothing but hatred for that man. He's a pathetic excuse for a human being and he should have spent much more time in jail than he did.

Most of those people aren't going to give up their tickets, they're protesting in the only way they know how, by threatening to give up their tickets. They're not actually going to turn into martyrs and go through with it.

It's obvious why reactions changed. Without seeing the video, we have no facts and no context. For all we know, she attacked him, he pushed her away and she fell and hit her head. When we see the video, we realize what exactly happened. We have all the facts and there is no context to understand. It makes a big difference when you know exactly what happened rather than trying to imagine it based on a conclusion only and not what actually occurred.

Maybe to some, but I don't think that's the case for most. I think for most people it's like what SteelHurtin said; they have to see it to believe it. Or, maybe more accurately, they have to see it to understand it. Being told a guy knocked out his wife sounds bad in theory, but it remains just a theory. Seeing it makes it real. That's not me, but it's obviously a lot of people.

I think if there was video of Vick manually slamming a dog into the pavement until its insides were too shattered and punctured to make sound, he wouldn't get such a warm welcome. Reading what he did just isn't the same. Then again, SteelHurtin also said he'd welcome Ray Rice, so what do I know, maybe that type of person would be able to get over anything.

The waiting list for season tickets in the burgh is a mile long....and they all know it...not 1...I repeat not 1 season ticket holder will give them up.....If even one does...I commend them for their convictions being worth more to them than a football game....but its my guess...not even a single fan will turn the channel let alone a season ticket holder lost

there is a petition going it has over 29000 signatures I doubt it will make any difference ownership will do what they want,,,I have been a Steeler fan for over 40yrs,, a sad sad day for the fans

On the sack of Vick, I was so hoping that he Bills D was going to corkscrew that pos into the ground ala Vince Young getting pile driven by deebo. Maybe Sean Payton can put out a bounty to whoever rips off Vicks head and craps down his neck

I thought Vick really looked pretty good today..still fast, still has a strong arm...Landry is not even in the race for backup QB anymore.

I wonder how many of those 29000 are season ticket holder...or even fans of football...or were on the get rid of Ben petitions....hmmm

anyway...on to my question.....are you checking to see if the Steelers won or lost because you will still get enjoyment from the team winning or are you rooting against them and hoping they lose?

I honestly mean no disrespect when I ask this...I am just curious as to the reason....Because if you want to enjoy the win...you might as well watch and enjoy the season....if you are rooting for the loss that makes more sense...but I didn't take that from your post.

How many life long Steeler fans are not going to see the Steelers win #7 this year?

I don't understand why you would give up on the team or get rid of your season tickets because of the Vick signing. Football is about winning. PERIOD. This isn't the boy scouts or sunday school. This is a violent game, full of players that have committed crimes. (Steelers included). Stop acting like the Steelers are full of saints and angels. They never have been and never will be. A lot of you are acting very childish. The fans saying they are giving up season tickets are the band wagon fans from the Bradshaw days more than likely, and don't even show up to the games anyway. So you should give up your tickets and let the young and successful fans take them. The Steelers signed some one to ensure that the team has the best chance to win in the case of Big Ben going down. Vick could be the difference of this team making the playoffs if he has to step in for a game or 2 in the event of Ben getting hurt (GOD i hope no). I know that I don't spend thousands on merchandise and individual game tickets for character of players. If you truly cared about integrity of players in this league, you would NOT watch a single game for ANY team because as i said, this league is full of offenders of crimes from small to pretty serious. I'm sorry my first post is like this, and really i mean no disrespect to the Mods and Vets of the board.

He did. Especially for a guy who just stepped onto the field a few days after being signed. He didn't look like the version of Vick I saw last season. I wasn't expecting that.

First time in my life I ever rooted for a Steelers QB to be sacked. I even fist pumped.

When the games count though, I'll just turn it off if he ever gets on the field.

But if you condemn the signing of Vick as a season ticket holder you would keep your tickets and not attend and not sell it.. If you sold it then you are in a way condoning the signing..

Saw a clip online of a lady protesting and it sounded like she was not selling her tickets nor attending

Yeah way to show the Steelers give them your money and get nothing out of it. That will teach them.

Talent level on offense is different then what the Jets have even with Brown out of the game. Wheaton and Bryant are both better then anything he had in NY but I was still surprised and if Bryant doesn't hop to catch a perfectly thrown ball it was probably 6. That is one thing that has always amazed me about Vick it seems like he snaps his wrist and the ball is 60 yards down the field.

One of the guys on the Steelers postgame radio show was saying how he was having a hard time rooting for the Steelers today when Vic was in the game. He says he will never forgive him for what he did, etc... I was thinking, dude, why not really make a stand and quit your job and go cover a different team.

I am blown away at how Steeler Nation is reacting. I wonder if the Eagles or Jets fans went into meltdown mode when Vic played for them. What he did was definitely wrong, but he's done his time and paid the price.

What Vic did with and to those dogs was "sin." And whether you admit it or not, we've all sinned and if we don't forgive him, we ourselves won't be forgiven of the wrongs we've done. Sure you haven't done anything close to what Vic did but sin is sin in the eyes of God. Think about it.

Vick looked really great tonight. Keep letting the haters ....hate! I appreciate what you bring to this team.
People treat people likes dogs.... And dogs like people. What a mixed up world we live in.
