    Context, context, context. It's important.

It was a great article all around and I agree with everything he said. I generally can't stand Peter King so I was actually kind of shocked to see him write something that didn't have me thinking he's an idiot like usual.

    Just more Real Steel-isms.

Peter King is a big fan of Roethlisberger. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

We always find what we are looking for. If we go through life looking for the worst in people, well sure enough, we'll find it.

If we look for things to be pissed about, we'll find them. Crappy way to go through life though...

Agreed... it was a very complimentary article overall...

    HOWEVER...

It still rubs me the wrong way, when he said we are "The New Patriots"...

As complimentary as he meant it...

And, even if our OWN head coach mentioned a couple years ago, that he wants to be like them, as far as multiple ways to attack on Offense..

I just don`t like the soundbite of us being compared to them...

HMMM... I guess I`m more easily offended than I would like to admit...:hmm:

The reality of it was/is that the Patriots can/could beat you multiple ways...

Ground and pound, or air attack, and that is what we have become...

    In reality, that`s a good thing!!!:clapping:...

But being compared to cheaters, is leaving a bad taste in my mouth...

Just a personal thing... I`ll go wash it out with some Jack Daniels, now...;):lolol::herewego:

Yeah it is clearly a hit piece. You know what they say about the pen and the sword? Well man this just totally reinforces it. I've got to say that I believe this might be the most fervent, vitriolic, hate fueled, statement that I have ever read. I've never been so offended in all my life. As a matter of fact, I've not read Sports Illustrated since about 1995 but now I will probably never read it again. So I hope they are happy that they've lost a faithful prospective follower. Good for you Mr. King. Mission Accomplished.

For people that have never seen Ben up close and personal
or in my case live locally. He is very gifted athlete, you should see him play basketball, golf. It comes easy.

Ben does look like a big oaf. Always has. He's doesn't look like your typical stud athlete. We've commented on this by various ways constantly in the past. Has nothing to do with his ability to be a good quarterback apparently. He's deceivingly athletic. But when he runs, he looks like a big oaf.

    1. Peter King didn't call Ben a "big oaf." Andy Benoit did. he is the one who wrote the article. Peter King's MMQB video was put into the article; but King did not write the article.
    2. Benoit was making a point: Ben does indeed look like a big oaf and comes across as aloof. His point is that looks can be deceiving. He was being complimentary.

I'm sure if you asked Ben if he looks like a big oaf, he'd say absolutely.

I always thought the term athletically awkward described Ben perfectly

But plays like a big oaf.

Peter King treats the Steelers well. I think he's a Steeler fan. *See SI: Last of the Mom and Pop operations in all of sports. Ben is not typical for NFL QBs, he looks like a Big Oaf, yet is devastatingly effective, which is his point.
    He's a Fan
