There is no majority that will keep this from happening. There is no thousands of football fans that will care when it does. If it mattered he would have never been in phila. He sells jerseys and madden games with his presence alone. And the fact is he is elvis to the black population (that's not racist, just a simple observation about supply and deman, I don't wish to offend anyone but I'm not blind to reality either )

I guess we'll have to disagree on Vicks current capabilities. Maybe we can agree on hoping it doesn't come down to having to rely on either Vick or Jones to make it into the playoffs or SB.

Now that I can completely get on board with vif Jones had shown me more then I would be all for an in house fix but there is a reason the Steelers are bringing him and I doubt it is to be third string.

Also Vick brings in the triple option which is deadly on 2 point conversions.

You brought race into it. It said keep race out of it, not that you were racist. Stop bringing race into it. Racial discussions are against board rules.

This is true but he isn't out there and yes I would take him over Vick. My main point in all of this is there is no other options out there and people need to remove their personal issues with him and look at it from a football standpoint.

Maybe so, but you and I both know that isn't going to happen. People are people and if Vick is signed get ready for a feces storm.

Oh I'm actually kind of excited for that. It will absolutely make for some great and funny reading. I can't wait for twitter to explode.

At least the players are saying they would welcome him with open arms and to me that is more important than the fans accepting hi M.

Honestly, I would consider bringing back Batch before signing Vick.

Eagles and Jets have taken the stink him a little bit, but people don't forget what he did.
It's just not worth it in my eyes. Tomlin is a Mike Vick fan, he has let people know this one more than one occasion.

Animal rights people don't watch football. No one cares about their tree hugging opinion

And in one foul swoop the Steelers have effectively changed fan opinion on Landry Jones hahaha yesterday we were on the "anyone but Landry" thread, and now we're all ready to "give Landry first team reps" instead of signing Vick. Genius move by the steelers lol

In all seriousness, I don't see what other option we have if Grad is out long term. The Steelers will keep 3 QB's and with Landry being the other one, I'm assuming the guy we bring in will be an established vet. Tebow is a circus (and IMO a worse QB than Vick), so I'm not gonna wait and hope he gets waived. There just isn't anyone else available that's a better option right now.

I don't really want to comment on the off field stuff, but since just about everyone else did... I'm willing to look beyond his past. As long as he stays on the straight and narrow in Pittsburgh and isn't a locker room issue, then he's fine with me. If steelernation can forgive Ben for his rape allegations, Deebo for his domestic violence, and Greg Lloyd for his multiple incidents of pulling guns on his family (son and wife), then I think we can give Vick a second chance. Whether Vick signs or not, I'd still prefer to see #7 be the only guy taking any snaps in a meaningful game this year.

Come on, he's 35 years old, hasn't played well in years.... just let him fade away into the sunset and stay far away from Pittsburgh. He really doesn't have anything to offer us, honestly the last stud free agent we got from Philly.... Duce Staley.

Jason Campbell sucks, but is squeaky clean image, and at least has a 60% completion rate.

Well he has been at the Facility for roughly an hour now and is still there so I would say they are probably working on the co tract details as we speak.

At this point I'd be shocked if he isn't a steeler before the day is over

Look at the Steelers Facebook page
If that's the case, then **** him. I hope we go 0-16 so the Steelers can fire Tomlin. The Steelers are not Tomlin's personal rehabilitation center. I can't support that ****.

Dan Rooney probably asked him to walk his dog. If the puppy is returned then a contract will be offered.
