Charlie Batch

I like hearing him as an announcer. I enjoy his commentary and his team insight.

What are your thoughts?

 

I don't have him.

 

I thought maybe we signed him so he could play. I think he is still a better option at QB than our other 2 . I am really starting to think I might be a better option.

 

Where are you listening to him? I've got the GamePass feed and I don't hear him.

 

I guess I have the luck of seeing it aired on tv.

Earlier this week I told the wife that the Steelers have no back up to Ben. If he goes down our season is toast. She said where Charlie Batch? She thought he was still on the team.

I laughed and said he's too old and retired. Now I'm thinking maybe shes right.

I do like him as an announcer but maybe we should just suit him up.

 

Is that him? I had to switch to the Steelers feed.

 

Didn't Batch apparently get in some financial trouble and have to sell a Super Bowl ring? Seems like I remember hearing that a few years ago. I like him though. Is he still gonna do Cooler Talk as well?

 

Batch is better than Edmund Nelson on the Steelers broadcasts.

 

Well he seems to be able to pronounce Martavis Bryant's name correctly so that gives him an upper hand on most broadcasters. LOL.

 

Am I the only one that thought when he would get excited it sounded like he was doing a Myron Cope impression.

 

I see now, NFL Network had the KDKA feed with announcers for you guys.

GamePass had the Green Bay video feed with the option to switch to the Steelers Nation radio feed. I was listening to the radio feed with no Charlie Batch.....

 

I thought we found a charlie batch in gradkowski....man, was I wrong! What vet is still out there?

The joy of gamepass for me was that the radio was a second ahead of the pictures. So I'd be watching the QB throw, and the radio would be telling me it was incomplete. Which was a bit annoying. Less so when we were actually completing passes, though.

 

Yup! I was confused because I know those voices and kept listening to see if I was missing Charlie's input! LMAO

What was bad was the interviews and little side stuff they did focusing around GB while the play was happening and they were calling it!

 

Yeah, the muffed punt return was a killer for that - the radio guys and crowd are getting excited, the pictures are sticking stoically to that blonde woman and some Packer reserve.

 

he does a nice job.
