Sorry Cajun but the first link doesn't support your claim or at least it is less credible since the author admits that he doesn't know the details but simply viewed the result and then extrapolated from there. Several comments from the author suggest that he views JJ and Dupree in a less favorable way than other players and in my opinion Foster shouldn't be casting stones since his work is less than stellar anyway.

He said he doesn't know what happened, Dupree lost his mind....... I'm sorry I don't quote everything exact, I condensed a coupled paragraphs down to a couple sentences from memory from a couple days ago. I don't think my "claim" is a misrepresentation of what the article said. I stand by how I understand what the author was trying to convey.

As usual, disagree with all of that. I think your dislike for the pick is responsible for that line of thought. The line was cheap shotting him, good for the rookie for standing up to them. Then the line whines and cries about it. Foster particularly cries a lot. Can't take it don't dish it out.

You don't need to quote it word for word, my point is that since he doesn't know what happened initially his conclusions seem slanted by his opinions which don't seem favorable to either of the last two first round picks.while he makes some solid points in his write up for the day but the accounts of Dupree losing it just seem off.

Love it! We NEED some attitude on the D side again.

I only hope he has the talent to back it up at this level but let it loose.

Why am I not surprised. You have a link to support the OL was cheap shotting him? I don't let personal feelings control my thought process, which is why I supplied but two of several links I've read. Links?

    I love the whole thing.
I would say that this entire bit is out of frustration. I think it was a build up of his own disappointment on his own performance. I like the idea that he got mad. I do realize that my thoughts are truly speculation on his mental build. After reading bit on his time spend in africa, i believe, it seems as if he wants and expects the best. I think it is frustration from his own expectations of himself. THAT makes me happy.

Talent is everywhere in the NFL. Work is missing with some. The frustration will push him to be the best and work.

    I love the fight.

The fight is probably overblown though.

Cajun this is from TTF post on the first page
This is from one article I googled

some offensive linemen reportedly told Dupree he needed to know his place during the second clash.

"No, I don't believe in that," Dupree said. "I'm on the team trying to make plays like everybody else trying to make plays."

Dupree is generally soft-spoken, sometimes bordering on the painfully shy and Wednesday's incident was the first of any significance involving Dupree or anyone in Steelers camp this season.

Said Dupree: "I'm just a real chill person, so I try to stay real level, but these things happen."

I can't seem to find the photo but I did see one that had several OLine players gathered around Dupree who was on his knees and it looked like they were holding him down which is what brought Jones running to try and even it out.

Edit: It seems not all of the OL is upset just whinny Foster. Gilbert and beachum are fine with it. Gilbert said he liked the nastiness he is showing and that Dupree didn't take it too far.

TTF posted one at the beginning of this thread and Thorn reposted it too.

The links you provided offer nothing to draw a conclusion from other than "lost his mind", sound journalism by that writer.

Again I think someone probably went low to block him . In my experience this is what really fires up a DL or DL type . I doubt it was on purpose , but is really the only thing a player would get that hot about IMO . I look at it like cussing a man. Most men can take about anything , but when you throw out the SOB then all bets are off. Same principle and would explain him being so mad no one could really control him.

On a side note I think he will have a good game today .

I stand by what I've said. I've read what wexel and many others have written. Dupree has struggled in camp and preseason games. I don't believe our OL has been playing dirty and but I do believe they've been making him earn his place, reminding him he's a rookie and quite possibly disrespecting him, maybe standing over him when he's down or things of that nature.

It's clear if the OL was at fault someone like Tomlin or Munchak would have addressed them, or maybe Deebo and others wouldn't have had to address Dupree.

No matter what set Dupree off it seems to have waken him up a bit. His play against the packers was improved, he was more aggressive and showed better overall play. Yes he still has a long ways to go and for the first time we see a guy who may be able to help this team. I'm hoping this wasn't a flash in the pan but a sign of things to come.

All the talk about fighting in camps is pretty surprising to me. We all seem to complain about the NFL turning into flag football, so the hoopla going on nationally seems silly. Buckle the chin straps and let's go, this is ridiculous
