Thought I would start a thread that would talk about who your favorite player is and what is the biggest concern that you have with him. Either on the field or off of it.

An easy answer would probably be along the lines of Heath Miller and Father time but another could probably be Jarvis Jones and a make or break season. Will he be a bust?

So who is every ones favorite player and what are you biggest concerns about him?

I'll go with Bell right now. Obvious concern is not having him for the first 2 games (I sure hope he learned a lesson and flies straight). After the injury, I'm anxious to see how he holds up in a real game against real competition. Will he try to compensate or try to not get hurt Ala Parker or Mendenhall? I'm also concerned about RB depth if he isn't the same player, or if he is the same player and gets injured again. He is a physical specimen though and he looks great and working his tail off.

AB. Will the contract become a problem and how will he do if he gets targeted less with us loaded at WR. Also does he continue to improve and not settle. Honestly I think all of this is a non-issue but I had to find something to bring up... :)

Favorite player is Bell. Represent Columbus, Ohio (I forgive you for being a spartan)! Basically my only hope for him is not to get hurt. I think he's gonna be a total beast this year. He should only improve in every facet of the game from last season. He could be special.

Ben. Show up extremely prepared every week and be ready to put the team on your shoulders and compensate for our up and coming defense. Although overall I'd say Heath is my favorite player it's just hard for me to tweak him at all.

Yeah, I'd have to go with Heath. My only concern would be his fight against aging, but the man is human. I'm hoping he can stay injury free and productive for a few more years.

My favorite player is Ben. I named my son Ben. My concern is health. He doesn't look as fit as he has during TC in the past. Makes me worried he isn't in the best shape and his body will suffer once the hits come. If he goes down, this team is playing to improve their draft status only.

I have two favorites at the moment, side note, there are LOTS of STEELER
players I like on this team. I am only critiquing these 2

AB, Be professional on the field, you don't need all these antics. You are one of the best wr in the world act like it.

Bell Learn to run lower, will extend your career, play @230 and not 218.

Oh boy. I think I have to narrow it down to guys on defense, where my true football love has always been! I think all things considered, Cam Heyward is my favorite player, knowing that he's going to be around for a while longer. Like some other posters have said about Heath, I can't really find fault with Cam. So on to my next favorite player:

    Antwon Blake

My wish for him is to get better ball awareness. He's usually in great position, but just can't seem to disrupt the pass often enough. The guy is a ferocious beast, probably one of our top hitters and very athletic. If he can just bat down some balls or make a few picks, he'd be complete.

I don't really have a favourite current player, but I want to play too.

So I'll go with Markus Wheaton.

My concern is that he struggles to read Ben. Where AB succeeds is his ability to just know where Ben wants to put the ball, especially when the play breaks down. For Bryant it wasn't such an issue last year because he could outrun the defender on his routes. Wheaton looked a bit off the page a few times - perfectly understandable at his point in his career - but if he could develop that kind of understanding with Ben that AB has... well, then, we're going to be very dangerous indeed.

I know some people aren't too enthusiastic on Wheaton around here, but I can see him turning into a real force IF him and Ben put the hours (which from the sounds of things, they are).

James Harrison is a living legend. Close to my favorite Steelers of all time. He is so mean he turned down a trip to the White House because they would't have invited him if he didn't win.
Godell has fined him for perfectly legal hits because he hates domination James brings.
James has been held every down he has ever played. One day he will be gone like all that came before him but he is the meanest, nastiest, baddest Steeler wearing the uniform today.
I hope he can not worry about Godell and have a season for us all to remember and enjoy.

My favorite player is Silverback as well but I don't think that he is meanest, nastiest although he is the baddest that has worn the uniform since Hines Ward retired. He's just not going to play the PC game neither on the field nor off of it. He is by far the hardest working player with AB being a close second.
While I agree he is held a lot, he certainly isn't held every single play. I can only imagine what his stats would be if they actual threw the flag more often then they ignore it. A first ballot HOFer for sure if the league gave him the respect that he deserves. We see some of the most beautiful text book tackles, nullified by a yellow hankie and then a subsequent ridiculous fine. There is no doubt that Gooddell has a bone to pick with James for some reason or another. I can only imagine how the table may have been turned has he been on the Kraft/Belicheat/Brady squad instead of in the Black N Gold. To me, that is where the NFL becomes skewed for the worse and one of the reasons I am glad he is a Pittsburgh Steeler. He would be showered in praise if he were a Patriot for his ultra clean hits. Instead people believe he is nasty, mean and dirty.

My biggest concern is how many more fines he is willing to deal with before he tells the NFL to pack sand.

No, guess I only tell Steeler fans. Told my wife when we agreed on the name that Benjamin was a tribe of Israel, so in the bible. I about died laughing when she repeated that to her mom. While true, not how I came up with the name.

    H. Miller is my favorite but I have no critiques of him.

The only critique I could think of about a player would be Ben. There are times when he could throw it out of bounds when flushed from the pocket. I don't want him doing that all the time, but on a hand full of occasions he just seems to flat out refuse. We all know the broken play magic that happens but there are times when he could avoid a sack. Not a major deal for me though. Tough to criticize the players since I've never done that on a pro level. Guess I'm getting spoiled seeing him in there every game for the last two years:towel:

I was at training camp practice last Wednesday, Marcus looks great. I too wish he and #7 could get on same page. AB clone.
