Rules for cameras at training camp.

    Never been to a training camp...since this is the 50th one at St. Vincent and I am 50 years old, I figured it is a sign that I should go to one while I'm still able...

    I have tried to find the rules relating to bringing cameras to camp (since I dabble in photography)...the only thing I can find is that ..video is not allowed.. but like most new cameras...mine does have a video capability...

    So..my questions are:

    - Will they let me bring my camera in? (if I promise not to shoot video..lol)
    - Are tripods/monopods allowed?
    - If I sneak a video..will I be pummeled by Steeler's security...lol (just joking

    You can bring cameras. Though, I think if you look like you are a professional photographer out on a shoot, you will probably run into trouble. I can't point you to any official rules, but I would not bring the tripod. Video is not allowed, but it's not really enforced that I'm aware of. I'd be shocked to hear that someone ever got in trouble for taking a discreet video.

    Yes, they say no video allowed of the actual practices and I guess if you were posting that video for profit, they'd do something about it. I had a 70-300mm zoom on a DSLR when I went and there were plenty of other guys with larger lenses. (It's almost needed from the "Hill")

    I definitely wouldn't go with multiple cameras strapped to your body like a pro though.

    Never seen anyone have trouble for taking pictures. Never had any ourselves for that matter. We used to do it all the time.

    this only applies to members of the patriots and bill belacheats staff. (or at least people that say they are not affiliated with they're staff) < those are the ones to watch more closely.:eek:;):cool:

    I wonder what the rulings on drones are. Seriously.
    Someone could easily bring one, launch it from outside the campus, fly it over practice and I don't think there's anything that could be done about it unless you found the operator. And even so, I don't think that there's anything illegal about doing that.

    Well it's always been distance issue not an age issue...I haven't lived near Pittsburgh since I was 19 and this year I'm relatively close enough...and "unfortunately" not hampered by one of those "job thingies"....lol
