I imagine it will hinge on whether the destruction was true/wilful/provable etc.

If I'm Kraft, Bellichick or Brady, right now I'm going to make it clear I can drag this out and on for as long as possible, in the hope that Goodell caves. The upside of this for everyone else is that it may utterly backfire in court.

Problem with this is, now I imagine the NFLPA will go after the NFL in court, and ask for an injunction. Brady might actually retire before the outcome of this is ever finalized. Chances are he'll play every game this season, barring injury.
