Who will lead the Steelers in sacks in 2015?

we don't need any of them showing off. I hope they all get 10 each.

 

Moates....... his sacks in comparison to defensive snaps was a surprise to me. He'll be better this year.

That would be good for the Steelers if Dupree could make a splash as a rookie and lead them in sacks. He would do something Shazier and Jarvis couldn't do as rookies.

I'll be the oddball and go Tuitt, so I voted "other". I think Heyward's success may draw some extra attention his way and with Big Mac and Bigger Mac in the middle, Tuitt will get some nice one on one's to win.

I'm taking the "I'll believe it when I see it" on J. Jones. I think it will be tough for JH92 and Bud to get there with limited snaps (I'm assuming it will take a few games until Bud is in there consistently). I think Moats and Heyward will be second in their totals.

 

I hope everyone on that list has 10-15.

 

If the answer is NOT Jarvis, we've got problems.

Harrison showed last season that he is still a solid NFL linebacker, but if a 37-year-old linebacker is the sack leader on a team with two young first-round outside linebackers, it's an issue.

People seem to forget that Jarvis was playing quite well prior to getting injured against Carolina last season. He may be undersized, but there has to be reason he was selected 17th overall back in 2013. So yes, I voted for Jarvis. This is his year to shine!

 

Yep, if JJ isn't the sack leader we have problems. But hasn't this been the case the past couple years. We've been disappointingly understanding of his shortcomings but the time is now. He.must tie on his big boy cleats and be the man or its time to move on.

I think JJ is about to turn it up but I voted Moats. JJ showed promise early on last year but after the injury was healed and he returned he wasn't able to take back his role.

I do see Butler going after the QB more and I agree with the thought. But if he does we better see more of a soft coverage by the secondary or we will give up a bunch of long TD's.

I am positive Big Ben will lead the team with sacks. But defensively I haven't a clue. Good question though. Hopefully JJ.

 

At the start of training camp, Jarvis Jones is only going to be about 9 months removed from a nasty wrist injury.

First time he gets a jersey sack or tackle, we will know a lot more.

I'm hopin and thinkin the kid can get 16.

 

Fans have a lot of faith in Jarvis to produce this season, I will believe it when I see it.

i think the best thing that can happen for jj and even bud is if moats becomes a force to take some pressure off these two. i have a good feeling about moats in our system. i believe it's so much more stable for him than it was in buffalo. i want this group to get to the point that we don't need james anymore. lemon could have something to say for garvins spot too. chick will also have some goods to show. we have actually went from thin to overloaded at the position. we have a ton of good prospects in here right now at LB. jarvis will have his work cut out this year to even make the team. he better be prepared and stay healthy.

I still think the team ends up with somewhere around 42-45 sacks this year. Start with that number and then figure out how to get to that total cause that is where we need to be in order to be a defensive force again.

My theory may be completely wrong, but I still believe DL's trust in the vets made him reluctant to play the kids even when they clearly outperformed the vet. It led to JJ getting less snaps at the end of last year, cause DL trusted JH more than JJ.
