Title is misleading. According to the article on the New England Sports Network, Schefter said a source predicted Brady won't miss a game.

So if indeed they are claiming they did nothing wrong, why were the "deflators" suspended by Kraft?

The NFL's key words are "detrimental to the integrity of the sport". Sorry, this isn't like proving a point in court beyond a reasonable doubt..... that policy is subject to interpretation.

IMO the only reason Brady/Pats are doing this is they believe they are Smug enough to think they can get away with it..Brady know's damn well he cheated!!, but he cant admit it, because it would make him look bad.. when he fights this and looses, he can say well i didnt cheat, and say the NFL was just out to get me, lol...In the articale it state's" "the pat's are doing this to protect there reputation" Well the only rep i knew they had was to be cheaters, .. so:shrug:

I read a quote from Brady in a article that had him saying prior to 2007 before the league allowed each team to " prepare" their own footballs that he used to lose sleep over what kind of ball he would be throwing in the game. Then during one of his firsts interviews about deflate gate he said he doesn't put much thought into the football. He is such a F in liar ,I hope they just keep pushing the issue and the real truth comes out. Pathological liars and cheats....what happened to that poster that was defending them a couple weeks ago.....church mouse!

Exactly. Brady cared enough about the footballs he was throwing that he lobbied the league to change the ball rules for 2006. He is going to notice changes in the football if someone is messing with the air pressure without his OK

So does it even matter whether the suspension is overturned? I mean... According to another thread that you started they will be bringing in the great Mike Vick to save them. How would Brady have a chance of getting the start?

Regardless of what these arbitrators recommend, Under the labor deal, the Commissioner has the final say over the discipline. ...

Presently, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has very broad authority under Article 46 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Under this article, he has authority to unilaterally rule on player discipline and if such decision is appealed, it is again Goodell or an appointed designee that enters the final judgment on the appeal.

How is he going to sue anyone while refusing to testify?

Like they say, you can sue a ham sandwich, but in his case, rarely does a court overturn a case involving two parties who have a binding labor contract, short of claiming the NFL violated his constitutional rights he has no case, so if he sues he would still have to serve his suspension if the case were to coincide with the regular season....

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...deflator-because-he-was-trying-to-lose-weight

This is f*&*ing unbelievable. The organization will do anything to protect their reputation. Yes the "deflate" reference to fitting in the jacket may be to McNally wanting to lose weight, but there are other references to "deflation" that have absolutely nothing to do with weight loss and the reference to "going to ESPN" is obviously in reference to the deflation of balls.

I am beginning to understand why Mark Brunell did cry - this is beyond shameful, what the Patriots' organization is doing. Just take your lumps and move on.

And if anyone really believes that Belichek wasn't in the "know" I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you - the most damning evidence is the study done by the guy who showed that only one team's fumble percentage is outside the statistical norms since the rules were changed in 2007 allowing teams to provide their own balls. A rule that Tom Brady championed.

And of course Tom Brady says..."And I would have gotten away with if if it weren't for you meddling kids and your dog and that azzhole Ted Wells who wanted my cell phone records."

If the Brady camp wants to challenge the credibility of the Wells investigation, Goodell should reopen the case and banish Brady from the NFL for life if he's found guilty. He's already done damage to the shield, and now he's set out to do more. It's time for him to go.

And if his suspension is overturned, I hope we reimpose it come week #1.

Reading the comments to that article is pure entertainment. My favorite was "This is the same as my dog ate my homework." Followed by the reply "And your dog immediately blames the cat for setting up a sting operation."

The weightloss excuse is just SO outrageous and over the top pathetic that even a lot the Chowda Head Homers are embarrassed by it.
