nfl.com draft profile says he's more likely to be a guard.

I love the fact that we went into the draft with so many needs and knowing we would not be able to fix them all they came out firing in free agency after the draft at oline. The more important thing is the quality of players that were still left there for us.....

Steelers should sign La'el Collins. He would strengthen our OL today. I don't know why they at least don't interview him. Bring him in, see what it will take to sign him.

Sign a guy who is of interest in a murder case? Besides he said he will enter next years draft, why waste our time....

He has pretty much been cleared of any wrong doing. He can not enter the draft next year, the NFL already said he could not, so he has to sign with a team this year.

    1. The police interview everyone close to a murder victim. And you know what? Usually all of them, or all but one of them, is innocent. Odds are extremely high that all La'el Collins did was lose a friend to violence. That's not the same as murder. Everyone seems fine assigning him a label of at least partial murderer. They ditch logic in favor of perceived strength in a stand against violence. Pathetic.

    2. The NFL said he's not allowed to do that, or enter the supplemental draft. I don't know why, but that's what they said. He has to sign with someone.

As of yesterday he hasnt been ruled out: And no team will sign him untill he is officially ruled out:
Collins “won’t sign until he gets an official clear from EBR (East Baton Rouge) DA.
The police are investigating the murder of Collins’ ex-girlfriend and her unborn son, who may have been fathered by Collins. Police have said twice that he’s not believed to be a suspect, but that no one will be ruled out until an arrest is made.

You said it. Just because of the possible fall out this kid is thought of as a criminal . If this kid had nothing to do with it then he should have the right to enter next years draft . Sad but true is that you are guilty until proven innocent . This is exactly why things are going so bad for the Police right now .Don't get me wrong they have every right to protect themselves and their fellow Officers , but they have no right in doing some of the things we have all seen lately.

The crazy thought is how much of this really goes on that we the public don't see ? Things that make you go HMM.....

They already said they dont think he is a suspect but wont rule him out until an arrest is made. So he is still to risky for a team to sign him, besides he still wants 1st round money, and that isnt going to happen here...

I'll be rooting for this kid, as I taught at the high school he attended in Hawaii... (Waialua High School, North Shore, HI). Small school, tough kids... and some big kids. This school is more known for producing professional surfers than football players, but he comes from a background where I'm sure he'll be gritty, tough competition for the current incumbents.

You know who else wasn't ruled out? Bud Dupree, Senquez Golson, Sammie Coates...

We should have raced to sign him as an UDFA, and before that, we should have drafted him. Now the Cowboys just got an extra 1st round pick, for free, playing practically for free. I'm gonna barf.
